Lakshmipur Correspondent: A housewife named Farzana Akhtar (35), her daughter Jannatul Mawa Faiza (11) and son Masudul Haque Faiyaz (6) have been missing for the past four days in Lakshmipur. The housewife's husband, Kazi Faisal Ahmed, believes that they have gone missing after falling into the clutches of a fraud ring.
She left a house named Arni-Rahi Plaza on Sheikh Russell Road in Lakshmipur town around 11 am on Sunday (December 24) and did not return. The housewife's husband filed a general diary (GD) with Lakshmipur Sadar Model Police Station the next day (December 25) regarding the incident.
The housewife's husband, Kazi Faisal Ahmed, is a registered marriage officer of Dattapara Union. He is the son of the late Masudul Haque, a resident of that union. Farzana Akhter is the daughter of the late Maulana Salah Uddin of Bhadur village, Ramganj Upazila. They got married in 2005 as a family. Since November 24, they had been living in a rented house on Sheikh Russell Road in Lakshmipur town.
Husband Kazi Faisal Ahmed says that 5 months ago, some demon king or some other fraudulent group lured or threatened his wife and took away 7 tons of gold ornaments. Since then, she was terrified that the group would kill her husband and children. In this way, she gradually fell ill. Since then, he used to prevent me and my children from leaving the house. In such a situation, I am renting a house in Lakshmipur, thinking about my wife's treatment and children's education. On Sunday, the neighbors saw me leaving the house with my 2 children in my absence. Since then, they have not been found. Despite searching in various possible places, they could not be found.
The housewife's elder brother Helal Uddin said on his mobile phone, "We were informed about the disappearance of our sister's husband. However, we could not be sure why he disappeared."
Laxmipur Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezaul Karim said that the husband, Kazi Faisal Ahmed, filed a general diary stating that his wife and two children are missing after falling into the clutches of a fraudster gang. The police are working to find them.
