Tamim-Soumya bats for Tigers to win series

In the third and final ODI of the series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, West Indies scored 198 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Chasing a target of 199 runs, Bangladesh reached the target in 38.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. As a result, the Tigers defeated the West Indies 2-1 to clinch the series.

Despite making a great start, Liton Das returned to the dressing room by giving his opponent his wicket once again. Earlier, in the third and final ODI to decide the series against the West Indies, Tigers captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to field. Miraz, Mashrafe and Shakib bowled well, leading West Indies to 198 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. However, Shai Hope single-handedly shouldered the responsibility for the Caribbeans by scoring an unbeaten century for the second consecutive match. He scored an unbeaten 108 runs.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz struck early in the West Indies innings. In the fourth over, he caught Mithun in his spin and Chanderpaul Hemraj was dismissed for 9 runs. Then, the tiger spinner bowled Darren Bravo off 6.4 balls. The Windies top-order batsman returned with 10 runs off 26 balls.
