The Election Commission announced the final results of 298 seats on Tuesday (January 1) and has been obliged to take oath of the elected members of Parliament within three days of the publication of the Gazette as per Article 148 (2a) of the Constitution.

In this context, the MPs belonging to the grand coalition parties including the Aomi League have not taken oath but the seven MPs of Oikya Front including BNP have not taken the oath, although the swearing-in of the oath is not over.

After taking oath as a Member of Parliament, the new government may be formed in January 5 or 6. Awami League General Secretary Obatadul Quader said that the new government will be formed before January 10. But 5 or 6 January, there is a discussion that the new government may be.
