As the last ball of the match was being bowled, a Comilla Victorians player carried Tamim Iqbal on his shoulder and walked a short distance. It was as if he was pointing out to everyone present on the field that this was our title-winning hero. Indeed, it was this dashing opener who brought Comilla its second title by playing a brilliant innings of 141 not out off 61 balls.

However, there were many concerns and questions about who would have the last laugh on the final stage at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. The two finalists, Dhaka Dynamites and Comilla Victorians, fought on the field for the answer. Dhaka's fourth title or Comilla's second title. The title of champion at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium ultimately went to Comilla Victorians. In the sixth season of BPL cricket, Comilla Victorians defeated Dhaka Dynamites by 17 runs in the final to win their second title.

Batting at a target of 200 runs, Sunil Narine was run out in the second ball of the innings and returned to the pavilion. Then Rony Talukder partnered with Upul Tharanga for the second wicket. Both of them continued to bat in a strong manner. They took the difficult match into their hands. They scored 71 runs in the first 6 overs of the power play. The Tharanga-Ronny partnership came to 102 runs in 52 balls. Upul Tharanga was out after playing an innings of 39 runs in 22 balls. However, Rony Talukder scored a half-century in 26 balls.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan could not keep up with Tharanga and Ronnie. Shakib returned to the dressing room after scoring 5 runs and the team's 120 runs off Wahab Riaz. Rony Talukder was out as the fourth batsman after scoring 66 runs off 38 balls with the team's 121 runs. When Andre Russell departed for 4 runs, Dhaka Dynamites saw a hint of danger. That word danger became even clearer with the departure of Kieron Pollard. Pollard was caught by Tamim after 15 runs off Wahab Riaz and went to the pavilion.

The scoreboard read 141 for 6. Dhaka Dynamites' hopes of winning ended when Shubhagat Home was dismissed for a duck. Nurul Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan continued to bat, but the runs were of no use except to reduce the margin of defeat. Dhaka needed 22 runs to win in the last over. Dhaka Dynamites' innings ended at 182 for 9.

Earlier, Rubel Hossain, who had lost the toss and opted to bat, hit Comilla's innings at the beginning. In the second over of the innings, he trapped opener Evin Lewis for lbw. However, Lewis could not escape even with the review. Tamim Iqbal and Enamul Haque Bijoy handled the initial blow for the second wicket. Tamim and Bijoy came to bat for 89 runs. Tamim was more aggressive. Tamim reached his half-century in 31 balls. Bijoy was out for 98 runs after scoring 24 individual runs due to the controversial decision of the umpire. Shamusar Rahman quickly returned to the pavilion after being run out. After that, Tamim stormed Mirpur. Tamim continued to rule the Dhaka bowlers with the bat. Tamim continued to throw a flurry of strokes. He scored an extraordinary century. While he played 31 balls to reach his first fifty, he played 19 balls to reach his second fifty.

He scored his sixth century in 50 balls with the help of 10 fours and 11 sixes in the BPL. Tamim scored a century in his first final. The strike rate was 231.14. Tamim did not give devastating batsmen like Thisara Perera and Shahid Afridi a chance to get to the crease. Tamim's career-best T20 tornado innings of 141 runs off 61 balls helped Comilla Victorians post a huge score of 199 runs in 20 overs. Tamim Iqbal was named the man of the match for his devastating innings. However, Dhaka captain Shakib was named the man of the tournament for setting a record for the most wickets in a season with 23 wickets.
