2,000 educational institutions to be MPO registered soon

Two thousand educational institutions have been identified as eligible for MPO registration. The work of MPO registration will begin soon in a phased manner.

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said this in response to a supplementary question from opposition Jatiya Party MP Pir Fazlur Rahman during the question-and-answer session of the National Assembly held under the chairmanship of Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury on Sunday (February 17).

The Education Minister said that various educational institutions have applied online and provided information about their institutions. 9,500 applications were received. Out of these, 2,000 educational institutions have been considered eligible. The institutions have filled in the information requested. This has been done through a computerized process. MPO enrollment will be done step by step, subject to the receipt of funds from within.

"I can't do everything at once. I have already spoken to the Finance Minister. I will be able to start the MPO registration work soon."

In response to a written question from Awami League MP M Abdul Latif, the Education Minister said that due to timely and appropriate measures taken by the Ministry of Education, there was no question leak in the 2018 JSC, SSC, HSC and equivalent examinations. Even rumors of question leaks did not spread. There has been no incident of question leaks in the SSC examinations held in 2019 so far.

He also said that the government has several proposals regarding changing the examination system. The proposals are being examined and examined. The issue of changing the examination system will be considered in light of reality. The Ministry of Education has taken all possible measures to prevent question leaks in public examinations.
