7 people have died so far in the FR Tower fire

Seven people have been reported dead so far in a massive fire that broke out at the multi-storey FR Tower building in Banani. At least 28 people were injured in the fire, police said.

The deceased were identified as Parvez Sajjad (47), Amena Yasmin (40), Mamun (36), Abdullah Al Faruk (32), Maksudur (66), Monir (50) and Sri Lankan citizen Niras Chandra.
Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farman Ali confirmed this information to reporters on Thursday afternoon.

According to the control room of Banani Police Station, Amena died at Apollo Hospital. Parvez Sajjad died at Banani Clinic, Niras Chandra died at Kurmitola General Hospital, and Mamun, Maksudur and Monir died at United Hospital. Abdullah Al Farooq died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
