Fury erupted recently as enraged protesters demanded immediate action against anti-Islam Sylheti blogger Musammoth Afsana Ahmed Busra and her incendiary website. Protestors, united in outrage, flooded public places—setting fire to images of the female blogger as a symbol of their fury over what they deem vile attacks on Islam, the Prophet Muhammad, and revered scholars.

The unrest was ignited by the bloggers publications on her website, www.peoplewithoutwalls.com, in which she claims to have been sexually abused during childhood by religious tutor. Her posts go on to accuse Islamic teachers of widespread child sexual abuse and launch scathing critiques of Islamic doctrines , including those attributed to the Prophet Muhammad himself—statements that have shocked and infuriated religious communities.

The gravity of the situation pushed authorities into action. Law enforcement officials confirmed they are actively pursuing the blogger, whose identity is known and who is currently believed to be abroad. Authorities have assured the public that upon her return to Bangladesh, she will be taken into custody under laws that allow arrest without a warrant, known as “arrestable offences”, for crimes involving incitement, blasphemy, and threats to communal harmony.

This move signals a major escalation in law enforcement response, underscoring how seriously officials are treating both the blogger’s controversial content and the explosive public backlash it has provoked.
