The accused are Md. Muslim, Mamun Hossain, Sahab Uddin Mizhi. They are residents of Charmohana Unit of Rashtpur Upazila No. 6 Otarard Charmohana village.

The injured children are Shamim Hossain (10), son of Ismail Hossain of the same village, Tanjid Ahmed (8), son of Tofastel Ahmed. Azad's son. Shamim (11) and Gitas Uddin's son Shamim Ahmed (9). They are residents of the same village in Dakshin Udmara of Dakshin Charababil Unity, who complained about Sabuj, who is a resident of the same village.

According to the complaint, the victims of the four children are robbers and take a bath along the river.

The accused later tied them to the trees and the children's relatives came and rescued them and admitted them to the Upazila Health Complex. From there, Shamim Hossain was referred to Sadar Hospital.

সমুদ্রে মাছ ধরতে গিয়ে বিরল প্রজাতির একটি চিংড়ি পেয়েছেন মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের এক জেলে। আদ্যোপান্ত গাঢ় নীল রঙের এই  অত্যন্ত বিরল। আটলান্টিক মহাসাগরে খোঁজ মিলেছে এই চিংড়ির।

আমেরিকার পূর্ব উপকূলের মাউন্ট ডেসার্ট আইল্যান্ডের বাসিন্দা ব্লেক হ্যাস। আটলান্টিক মহাসাগরে মাছ ধরতে গিয়ে ২৭ বছরের এই যুবকই নীল চিংড়িটি খুঁজে পেয়েছেন।

এই প্রজাতি এতটাই বিরল যে, ২০ লাখ চিংড়ির মধ্যে একটির রং নীল হয়। তা ধরতে পেরে নিজেকে ভাগ্যবান বলে দাবি করেছেন তিনি। টিকটকে চিংড়িটির ছবি পোস্ট করেছেন ব্লেক। ছবিতে দেখা যায়, হাতে গ্লাভস পরে সেটি ক্যামেরার খুব কাছে ধরে আছেন তিনি। সঙ্গে লিখেছেন, ‘নীল চিংড়ি! ২০ লাখে একটার রং এমন হয়।’

ব্লেক জানান, ‘এত উজ্জ্বল নীল রঙের সুন্দর চিংড়ি আমি আগে কখনও দেখিনি। আমরা অনেক চিংড়ি ধরি। কখনও কখনও কিছু চিংড়ির লেজ বা শুঁড়ের দিকে হালকা নীল রঙ দেখা যায়। কিন্তু পুরো দেহ নীল রঙের হয় না। আমি এমন চিংড়ি আগে দেখিনি। আমার সঙ্গে আরও যারা মাছ ধরেন, তারাও কখনও এমন চিংড়ি দেখেননি। আশা করি, আবার কখনও এমন লবস্টার ধরতে পারব।’ সাধারণত বেশিরভাগ গলদা চিংড়ি কর্দমাক্ত বাদামি অথবা লাল রঙের হয়। ইউনিভার্সিটি অব মেইনির লবস্টার ইনস্টিটিউটের মতে, নীল গলদা চিংড়ি অত্যন্ত বিরল। এ ধরনের চিংড়ি ২০ লাখের মধ্যে একটি খুঁজে পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা থাকে।

মুন্সীগঞ্জে পুলিশের সঙ্গে বিএনপি নেতা-কর্মীদের সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।

বুধবার (২১ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেল সাড়ে ৩টার দিকে শহরের মুক্তারপুরে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে পুলিশ-সাংবাদিকসহ অন্তত ৩০ জন আহত হয়েছেন।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, কেন্দ্রীয় কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে সদর উপজেলা, মুন্সীগঞ্জ শহর ও মিরকাদিম পৌর বিএনপি শহরের মুক্তারপুর এলাকার পুরাতন ফেরিঘাট এলাকায় বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও সমাবেশের আয়োজন করে। দুপুর আড়াইটা থেকে মুক্তারপুর এলাকার আশপাশে বিএনপি নেতা-কর্মীরা জড়ো হতে থাকে। পুলিশও অবস্থান নেয় আগে থেকেই। বিকেল সাড়ে ৩টার দিকে বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে বিএনপি নেতাকর্মীরা খণ্ড খণ্ড মিছিল নিয়ে পুরাতন ফেরিঘাট এলাকায় আসতে শুরু করে।

কর্মসূচি থেকে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল নিয়ে এগোতে চাইলে পুলিশ বিএনপির নেতা-কর্মীদের বাধা দেয়। এ সময় তারা পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে ইটপাটকেল ছুড়তে শুরু করে। পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে পুলিশও রাবার বুলেট ও টিয়ার শেল নিক্ষেপ করে। ঘটনাস্থলে একটি মোটরসাইকেলে আগুন দেওয়া হয়।

মুন্সীগঞ্জ সদর থানা পুলিশের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) তারিকুজ্জামান জানান, অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। বর্তমানে সেখানে পুলিশ মোতায়েন রয়েছে।

তিনি বলেন, এইচ এস এস সড়কের সোনালী ব্যাংকের পশ্চিম পার্শে দি ওরাল ডেন্টাল এন্ড ডেন্টিস্ট কেয়ারে বিপ্লব কুমার দাস নামের এক ভূয়া চিকিৎসক দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সাধারণ মানুষকে চিকিৎসা দিয়ে আসছে। এমন খবরে স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের সহযোগিতায় সেখানে অভিযান চালানো হয়।

সেসময় অননুমোদিতভাবে এলোপ্যাথি চিকিৎসা ও অনুমোদনহীন চিকিৎসা দেওয়ার অপরাধে বিপ্লব কুমার দাসকে ১৫ দিনের বিনাশ্রম কারাদণ্ড ও ১ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়।  অভিযানে সদর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য  ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কার্যালয়ের মেডিকেল অফিসার ডা. ফারহানা ইয়াসমিনসহ পুলিশ সদস্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
