Today is BNP's 44th founding anniversary
Dhaka: 44th founding anniversary of BNP (September 1). On this day in 1978, President Gitaur Rahman established this political party called Bangladesh National Party-BNP.
Program on the occasion of the founding anniversary: On the occasion of the 44th founding anniversary on Thursday (September 1), the flag will be hoisted at 6 am in all the offices of BNP across the country, including the central office in Nathapaltan of the capital.
At 12 noon, the national and central leaders of BNP will recite and offer Fateha at the shrine of the founder and former president Shahid Gitaur Rahman (Bir Uttam) in Sherebangla Nagar.
A colorful rally will be held in front of the central office of BNP in Natapaltan at 3 pm. The rally will be held in front of the BNP leaders and activists from all walks of life including the national leaders of BNP.
On the occasion of the 44th founding anniversary, a discussion meeting will be held at 2:30 PM at the city's Gulisthantha Mahanagar Natyamanch on Friday (September 2) in the capital, which will take part in the national and central leaders.
Similarly, all units of the country, including district and metropolis, will take programs on the occasion of the 44th founding anniversary of BNP, they will take initiatives to hold programs such as local discussions, rally etc.
On the occasion of the foundation anniversary, the party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said in Deota Bani. Geeur Rahman has an eventful life before entering politics, from his life to the liberation war, the state management has played a brilliant role in everything that the nation will never forget.
After the martyrdom of Gitaur Rahman, the current party's clerk Begum Khaleda Jita also played a historical role in the party's power at the juncture of the party. During the reign of dictator Ershad, she got the title of uncompromising leader.
1983: Khaleda Ji was nominated as the vice chairman of the party from the extended general meeting of BNP on April 1 of that year.
August 1984: Begum Khaleda Jita was elected unopposed and new life was created in BNP. Leaders and activists took to the streets again in the light of hope. After that, various threats came on Khaleda Gita, the plot continued to thwart her. But she was uncompromisingly playing the path of democracy.
