Three-member board formed for Nusrat's autopsy

A three-member medical board has been formed to investigate the matter of Nusrat Zahar Rafi, a madrasa student of Deta Feni who was burnt in the fire.

Pradeep Biswas, a lecturer in the Department of Forensic Medicine of Dhaka Medical College (DMC), a member of the Medical Board, said this on Thursday (April 11).

He said, Nusrat's investigation will start soon.

Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi died at 9:00 pm on Wednesday (April 10) at the burn unit of DMK Hospital.

He was in the hospital for five days after being burnt by the innocence of the miscreants in the instance of the principal of the madrasa.

On April 6, Sonagazi Islami Sinita Sinitor Fazil Madrasah Alim went to the examination center and called Nusrat's Gat kerosene on the roof of the madrasa. In Palli, masked miscreants, they pressured Nusrat to withdraw the case against the madrasa principal Sirajuddaula.

According to the girl's family, on March 27, the principal of the madrasa, Siraj Uddaula, called him to his room and tried to molest Nusrat, and because of that, Nusrat was put in a fire and Siraj Ud Daula was arrested and sent to jail.

Meanwhile, the fire burned Nusrat first at the local hospital and then to the hospital at DMK Hospital, the medical board of 9 members was inquiring about the 9th member and he was being inquired about the whole time he was sent to Singapore for better treatment.

But the plane travel was dangerous, but he did not get there, but the ‘protester’ Nusrat failed to make everyone's prayers.



Nusrat could not be saved.

বুধবার (১০ এপ্রিল) রাত সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালের বার্ন ইউনিটের নিবিড় পর্যবেক্ষণ কেন্দ্রে (আইসিইউ) চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেছে সে। তার মৃত্যুর বিষয়টি জানিয়েছেন বার্ন ইউনিটের সমন্বয়ক ডা. সামন্ত লাল সেন।

আধঘণ্টা আগেই ৯টার দিকে নুসরাতের চিকিৎসায় গঠিত মেডিকেল বোর্ডের প্রধান প্রফেসর ডা. আবুল কালাম জানিয়েছিলেন, এই ছাত্রীর শারীরিক অবস্থার ‘মারাত্মক অবনতি’ ঘটেছে।ঢামেক হাসপাতালে আনার পরই চিকিৎসকরা জানিয়েছিলেন, নুসরাতের অবস্থা গুরুতর। তার শরীরে প্রায় ৮০ শতাংশই পুড়ে গেছে।

এই ছাত্রীর পরিবারের ভাষ্যে, ২৭ মার্চ মাদ্রাসার অধ্যক্ষ সিরাজউদ্দৌলা তার কক্ষে ডেকে নিয়ে নুসরাতের শ্লীলতাহানির চেষ্টা করেন। তারই জেরে মামলা করায় নুসরাতকে আগুনে পোড়ানো হয়। ওই মামলার পর সিরাজউদ্দৌলাকে গ্রেফতার করে কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়।

এদিকে, আগুনে ঝলসে যাওয়া নুসরাতকে প্রথমে স্থানীয় হাসপাতালে এবং পরে ঢামেকে নিয়ে আসা হয়। তার চিকিৎসায় গঠিত হয় ৯ সদস্যের মেডিকেল বোর্ড। সার্বক্ষণিক খোঁজখবর নিচ্ছিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। কিন্তু সবার প্রার্থনা-চেষ্টাকে বিফল করে চলেই গেলো ‘প্রতিবাদী’ নুসরাত।

2,500 institutions to be MPO registered next month: Education Minister

New educational institutions will be announced for MPO registration next month. 2,500 educational institutions have been listed as eligible in four categories. At the same time, these institutions will be registered for MPO, said Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.

The Education Minister made these remarks at a meeting with Education Beat journalists at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday.

The Education Minister said, "Teachers and employees have been protesting for a long time demanding MP inclusion. Taking their issue seriously, we have started the work of MPO inclusion long ago."‘

He said, "Applications have been collected from institutions in four categories for MPO registration. About 2,500 educational institutions have been listed in this."‘

The minister said, "We will verify all the information provided by the institutions. If the information provided by them is correct, 2,500 educational institutions will be announced for MPO enrollment together next month. Otherwise, if one eligible institution is excluded and another is included, it will create problems. For this reason, it has been decided to announce MPO enrollment to all eligible institutions at the same time."‘

Stating that the Ministry of Education has some obstacles, Dr. Dipu Moni said, 'If the reason is financial, then in the first phase, 25 percent MPO facilities can be provided to newly registered MPO institutions. If not, then 100 percent MPO facilities will be provided.'‘

In response to a question, Education Minister Dipu Moni said, "I was not aware of the issue of independent Ebtedayi Madrasas. Recently, the teachers and employees of Ebtedayi Madrasas sat on the streets for several days and protested. After that, I sat with their leaders and learned about their problems. They receive very low salaries - the issue is very inhuman."‘

The minister said, "Independent Ebtedayi madrasas have been established in many parts of the country. There are many teachers and students there too. It must be closed. It will be considered whether independent madrasas can be brought in on the model of primary schools. If the government wants, there will be a new institution, but work will be done to ensure that no more educational institutions are established under individuals. In addition, we will quickly take a decision on the method by which the rights of independent madrasa teachers and employees can be ensured."‘



Madrasa teachers' Baisakhi allowance check released

The 20 percent Baisakhi allowance cheques for 1426 Bangabhab have been released to the teachers and employees of MPO-affiliated madrasas. On Wednesday (April 10), four Baisakhi allowance cheques were sent to the state-owned bank that distributes the grant. The teachers and employees will be able to withdraw the Baisakhi allowance till tomorrow, Thursday (April 11).

Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, Deputy Director of the Madrasa Education Department, confirmed this.

Meghna in Kamalnagar is free to fish; no action is taken by the administration

Accidental student died in Kamalnagar

A student named Farrukh Ahmed Emon (17) died in Kamalnagar, Kamalnagar, Laxmipur, and the accident took place on Saturday afternoon in the upazila's Rahimganj area, where the deceased was a 12th class student of the Tax Government College and the son of Fatz Ahmed of Char Kadira village.

Interpretation of supervisors and teachers on basic literacy projects
