Four days after he went missing in Lakshmipur, the police have recovered the mutilated body of an elderly man named Md. Nurnabi. His body was recovered from a pond in Hazirhat area of Shakchar, Sadar upazila, this afternoon.

আহতদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন- মো. বশির, নুরনবী, মিজান, আবু ছায়েদ, সাত্তার, আব্বাস, ফারুক বাবুলসহ ১০ জন। এদের মধ্যে গুরুতর আহত নুরনবী, বশির ও মিজানকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে। অন্যদের প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দেওয়া হয়।

আহত জেলেরা জানান, রাতে মেঘনা নদীর রামগতি সীমানা চর আবদুল্লাহ এলাকায় মাছ ধরতে নদীতে জাল ফেলি। এসময় ভোলার জেলেরা আমাদের জালের ওপর কারেন্ট জালের ফাঁদ পাতার চেষ্টা করে। এতে বাধা দিলে ভোলার কয়েক নৌকার জেলে সংঘবদ্ধ হয়ে আমাদের ওপর হামলা চালায়। এসময় ছিনিয়ে নেয় মোবাইল ও নগদ টাকা। তবে এ ব্যাপারে চেষ্টা করেও অভিযুক্তদের বক্তব্য নেওয়া সম্ভব হয়নি।

রামগতি থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. ইকবাল হোসেন বলেন, নদীতে জেলেদের দু’পক্ষের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষ হওয়ার খবর পেয়েছি। বিস্তারিত জানার চেষ্টা করছি।

তবে এই চীনা পরিকল্পনায় যেসব রোহিঙ্গা বাংলাদেশে শরণার্থী হয়ে আছেন, তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তনের বিষয়ে সরাসরি কোন কথা বলা হয়নি।

শিনহুয়া বলছে, চীনা পরিকল্পনার দ্বিতীয় ধাপে এই সঙ্কটের সবগুলো পক্ষ এবং আন্তর্জাতিক সম্প্রদায়কে আলোচনার প্রক্রিয়া চালু রাখার তাগিদ দেয়া হয়েছে, যাতে ‘সমতার ভিত্তিতে এবং সৌহার্দপূর্ণভাবে’ সঙ্কটের সমাধান করা যায়।

চীনা সংবাদ মাধ্যমের খবরে দাবি করা হয়েছে, এই পরিকল্পনার পেছনে মিয়ানমার এবং বাংলাদেশ উভয় সরকারের সমর্থন রয়েছে। তবে এই ব্যাপারে এককভাবে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের বক্তব্য জানা যায়নি।

পশ্চিমা দেশগুলোর অনুসরণ করে ঢাকার রেস্তোরাঁয় প্রথমবারের মতো শুরু হয়েছে রোবটের ব্যবহার। রোবট এখন কাজ করছে রেস্তোরাঁ কর্মী হিসেবে।
গত সপ্তাহ থেকে রাজধানীর ফ্যামিলি ওয়ার্ল্ড কনভেনশন সেন্টারের দ্বিতীয় তলায় চালু হয়েছে এ ‘রোবট রেস্টুরেন্ট। কিন্তু শুরুতেই বিতর্কের সৃষ্টি হল এ রোবটকে নিয়ে। মূলত রোবট দুটির একটির পরনে ওড়না থাকায় সৃষ্টি হয়েছে এ বিতর্কের। আর ইতোমধ্যেই তা ভাইরাল হয়ে পড়েছে ফেসবুকে।

রোবট দুটির মধ্য একটি রোবট, যেটি মূলত নারীর আদলে তৈরি, সেটির ওড়না পরিহিত ছবিটিই ফেসবুকে ভাইরাল হয়েছে। রোবটের পরনে ওড়না বিষয়টি মানুষের নজরে এসেছে। চলছে আলোচনা- সমালোচনা। অনেকেই সমালোচনা করে ফেসবুকে পোস্ট দিচ্ছেন।

বিমান ধর নামের একজন ফেসবুকে লিখেছেন, ‘ওড়না পরানোয় পরিষ্কার হলো রোবট যন্ত্র হলেও ক্লীবলিঙ্গ নয়।
ইহা স্ত্রীবাচক। তাই প্রাণীবিদ্যা আর ব্যাকরণ বইগুলো নতুন করে লেখার দাবী জানাচ্ছি। ‘

তানভীর মৃদুল নামের আরেকজন লিখেছেন, ‘রোবোট এর ওড়না লাগে এই দেশে । লাগার ই কথা । আমাদের নেক পুরুষদের কুনজর থেকে রোবট বাদ যাবে এটা ভাবা কঠিন। যদিও মালিক বলেছেন নারী রোবটকে সনাক্ত করতে তিনি ওড়না পরাইসেন। রোবট এর নারী পুরুষ কি, কে জানে ! তবে পুরুষ রোবট এর জন্য তিনি কি পরাবেন। ‘

জাকিয়া শিশির নামে একজন লিখেছেন, ‘রোবটও আজকাল ওড়না পড়ে৷ আর যে দেশে এত বেকার সেদেশে রোবট চালিত রেস্টুরেন্ট৷’

নাট্যাভিনেতা রওনক হাসান ওড়না পরিহিত রোবটের ছবি নিজ ফেসবুক অ্যাকাউন্টে আপ করে লিখেছেন- ‘রোবট রেস্টুরেন্ট এ রোবটের গায়ে ওড়না! এই রেস্টুরেন্টের মালিক কে জানতে মন চায়! লজ্জা লজ্জা লজ্জা! এদের খাবার অমৃত হলেও তো যাব না। মানসিক বিকৃত এই প্রাণীগুলোকে বয়কট করা উচিত’।

তবে রোবটের গায়ে ওড়না কেন? এ প্রশ্নের জবাবে রেস্তোরাঁর ব্যবস্থাপক তানভীর তন্ময় জানান, ‘মূলত নারী রোবটটিকে সনাক্ত করা বা আলাদা করার উদ্দেশ্যেই এর গায়ে ওড়না জড়ানো হয়েছে’

লক্ষ্মীপুর : লক্ষ্মীপুরের রামগতির আলেকজান্ডার পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় ফরমপূরণ থেকে বাদপড়া (ফেল করা) শিক্ষার্থীরা বিদ্যালয় ভাঙচুর ও প্রধান শিক্ষকের বাড়ি ঘেরাও করে তাকে অবরুদ্ধ করে।
সোমবার (২০ নভেম্বর) দুপুরে বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক ও থানা পুলিশ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। সকালে উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) আজগর আলী ও থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইকবাল হোসেন ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেন। এর আগে রোববার (১৯ নভেম্বর) রাত সাড়ে ৭টার দিকে বিদ্যালয়ের দরজা-জানালা ভাঙচুর ও প্রধান শিক্ষকে বাড়িতে গিয়ে তাকে অবরুদ্ধ করার ঘটনা ঘটে।
প্রধান শিক্ষক আজিজুল ইসলাম ফিরোজ জানান, এবার কুমিল্লা বোর্ডের সিদ্ধান্ত দিয়েছে নির্বাচনী পরীক্ষায় অকৃতকার্য কোন পরীক্ষার্থীকে এসএসসি পরীক্ষার ফরমপূরন করতে দেয়া যাবে না। বোর্ডের সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ি বিদ্যালয়ের ২০৪ জন শিক্ষার্থীর ফরমপূরণ করে বোর্ডে তথ্য পাঠানো হয়। এদিকে, ফরমপূরণ থেকে বাদপড়া ৪০/৫০জন শিক্ষার্থী স্কুল ভাঙচুর করে, বাড়ি ঘেরাও করে আমাকে অবরুদ্ধ করে। খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ এসে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে।
রামগতি থানা ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইকবাল হোসেন বলেন, ফরমপূরণ থেকে বাদপড়া শিক্ষার্থীরা বিদ্যালয়ে দরজা-জানালা ভাঙচুর করে। তারা প্রধান শিক্ষকের বাড়িতেও যায়। ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ গেলে তারা পালিয়ে যায়। জড়িতদের আটকের চেষ্টা চলছে। এব্যাপারে অভিযোগ পেলে মামলা নেওয়া হবে।
প্রসঙ্গত, বিদ্যালয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ২০১৮ সালের এসএসসি পরীক্ষার লক্ষ্যে আলেকজান্ডার মডেল পাইলট উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় থেকে ২৮২ জন শিক্ষার্থী নির্বাচনী পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয়। এরমধ্যে ৭৯জন শিক্ষার্থী নির্বাচনী পরীক্ষায় ফেল করে।
