A mortar shell of Netrakona's Durgapur Upazila was found in 1953.

On Saturday (October 22) at noon, the driver of the upazila's Sadar Unit of the upazila found the mortar shell of Nazim Uddin's pond.

In the evening the news The police recovered the mortar shell and placed it in the devatoil playground near the scene, which is currently being kept away from the crowd for the police guard.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Durgapur Police Station. Abdul Hannan said that the mortar shell has been kept unexploded for public safety. The explosives expert team has been summoned to know the poison to the higher authorities.




National Road Safety Day celebrated in Netrakona

National Safe Road Day 2022 was celebrated with the theme of ”learning the road, returning home safely", a discussion meeting and rally was held on Saturday to celebrate the day.

In the morning, a grand rally was taken out from the Moktarpa ground in the city and came to the district administrator's office and ended in the district administration conference room.

The discussion meeting was chaired by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Abdullah Al Mansoor as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Anjana Khan Majlish was present as a special guest, Superintendent of Police Md. Fatz Ahmed, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mo Salim Mia.

Clear up: deep in the sea, Go Ban

According to the Department of Meteorology, the low pressure in the Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal is staying in the same area in the form of a distinct low pressure. It could further condense into a depression, the agency said.

Also, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to carefully monitor further instructions. Fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to proceed with caution. Also they are told not to wander in the deep sea.

Meanwhile, the 24-hour weather forecast on Friday night (October 21) said that the weather in the whole country may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.

Meteorologist Md. Bazulur Rashid said that the low pressure in the Andaman Sea and the adjacent South East Bay of Bengal is staying in the same area in the form of a distinct low pressure. It may condense further and become a depression.

He further said that the day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. The weather conditions may deteriorate in the coastal areas of Bangladesh in the next two days.

No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the country during the last 24 hours. Yesterday evening the lowest temperature of the country was 17.8 degrees Celsius at Tentulia.

The highest temperature in the country was 35.3 degrees Celsius in Sandwip. Also, the temperature in the capital was 34.4 degrees Celsius.




Thousands of people are gathering for a BNP rally in Khulna!

Tensions are high in the political arena surrounding the divisional mass rallies. After Chittagong and Mymensingh, BNP is going to hold a mass rally in Khulna this Saturday.

The rally will be held at the Sonali Bank premises in the city at 2 pm. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will be the chief guest.

A pre-announced transport strike has begun in Khulna since Friday morning ahead of the rally. However, the party's supporters have ignored the announcement and started gathering at the rally site.

Most of the leaders and activists arrived at the rally site the night before by train and trawler. The leaders and activists present at the rally site slept on plastic bags and mats on the road and sidewalks at the night.

43 arrested in police raid in Dhaka!

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 43 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs by conducting anti-narcotics operations in different areas of the capital.

A large amount of drugs have been seized from those who have been arrested. 34 cases have been filed against the arrested persons of various police stations of DMP.

This Saturday (October 22) morning, DMP's Midi and Public Relations Department Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Md. Farooq Hossain came to know this information.

He said that as part of the anti-narcotics campaign of DMP, they were arrested in various areas of the capital from 6 am on Friday to 6 am.

631 pieces of Eightaba, 26 grams 30 purita heroin, 2 kg 440 grams 250 purita ganja and 20 bottles of Fensidil were seized from them.

He also said that 34 cases have been registered against the arrested police station under Narcotics Control Act.




Fire at hawkers' market in Mymensingh brought under control

The fire in the Hawkers Market in Ganginarpa, Mamansingh city, has come under fire.

Accused in Jubo Dal leader Didar's murder case arrested after a decade!

After the murder of Juba Dal leader, educationist lawyer Didarul Alam in Laxmipur, the police arrested a accused named Hiran Bhuita.

He was arrested from Mirzapur village of Uttar Hamchadi Unit of Sadar Upazila at around 8 pm on Friday (October 21).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laxmipur Sadar Model Police Station Mosleh Uddin knows the poison. Hiron is the son of Rafiq Ulya Bhuita of Bhui,a Bair of the same area.

According to the case sources, on October 30, 2012, the former president of the district BNP, Abul Khater Bhui, and the former chief security coordinator of Khaleda Gita, Colonel (retd.) A clash took place between the followers of Abdul Majeed in Kalibazar area of Uttar Hamchadi Unit.

Didar was killed in the clash that day, the next day, Didar's wife Rehana Akhtar filed a case against 25 people including Colonel Majid and filed a case against 25 unidentified people.
