Domestic oil and gas exploration activities will be strengthened: Nasrul Hamid

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that domestic oil and gas exploration activities will be further strengthened from all domestic sources. He said that Petrobangla has already started the activities of drilling and re-drilling 46 wells from which 612 million cubic feet of gas will be added to the national grid. Under this program, 112 million cubic feet of gas has already been added to the national grid in 2023 and this activity is ongoing.

He said, the government has a plan to utilize Bhola gas to the maximum. At the same time, gas supply will be ensured in the country's power and industrial sectors where there is a crisis. The State Minister said these things in response to questions from journalists after visiting the Shahbazpur gas field in Borhanuddin, Bhola today, Thursday.
Nasrul Hamid said that Bhola gas will be taken to the mainland within 3 years through a pipeline. Bholadwip is a gas-rich region. Initiatives have been taken to dig 9 more exploration wells here. A two-dimensional seismic survey will be conducted in the Bhola river area. He said that employment opportunities will be created in Bhola by connecting gas to the industrial sector on a priority basis. Currently, 5 million cubic feet of gas is being taken from Bhola daily in the form of CNG for industrial establishments in the mainland of the country. It will be increased to 25 million cubic feet in phases.
The State Minister said that work is underway to provide metered connections for residential and household uses in Bhola municipal area. At that time, Bhola-2 constituency MP Ali Azam Mukul, Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department Md. Nurul Alam and officials of the concerned ministry were present.
Later, he visited the 220 and 225 combined cycle power plants in Borhanuddin. After that, he inspected the Sundarban Gas Company Ltd. DRS and CNG in Bhola Sadar.

What is ankylosing spondylitis?

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a type of chronic inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects the spine and sacroiliac (SI) joints. It is the spinal fusion process that results in spinal stiffness and immobility. It curves the spine. If the ribs are affected, breathing may also become difficult.
Who can get ankylosing spondylitis?
Anyone can get ankylosing spondylitis, although it is more common in men than women. Symptoms of this disease usually appear between the ages of 17 and 45 years. Ankylosing spondylitis is a genetic disease that can run in families.
Symptoms:
1. Pain and stiffness in the back, which is worse in the morning after waking up and on walking

Ankylosing spondylitis has no specific cause, although genetic factors appear to be involved. In particular, people with the HLA-B27 gene have a higher risk of developing ankylosing spondylitis. However, only some people with the gene develop the disease.

কিশোরগঞ্জ-২ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য সাবেক আইজিপি নূর মোহাম্মদকে হুঁশিয়ারি দিলেন এই আসনে আওয়ামী লীগের (নৌকা) প্রার্থী সাবেক অতিরিক্ত ডিআইজি আবদুল কাহার আকন্দ। তিনি নূর মোহাম্মদের উদ্দেশে বলেন, ‘আর এক পা আগাবেন না। হয় নৌকার সঙ্গে থাকুন, না হয় কটিয়াদী ছেড়ে ঢাকা চলে যান। আর যদি আপনি একটি কথা নৌকার বিরুদ্ধে বলবেন, তাহলে আপনার বাড়ি ঘেরাও করা হবে। গতকাল মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যায় কিশোরগঞ্জের পাকুন্দিয়া পৌর সদর ঈদগাহ মাঠে নির্বাচনী জনসভায় তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।

নৌকার প্রার্থী আবদুল কাহার আকন্দ বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান হত্যা মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা ছিলেন। তিনি অভিযোগ করেন, ‘নৌকার বিরুদ্ধে একটি ষড়যন্ত্র চলছিল। যড়যন্ত্রে আমার যাঁরা চেয়ারম্যান, মেম্বার ছিলেন, যাঁরা আওয়ামী লীগের লোকজন ছিলেন, তাঁদের ডেকে নিয়ে হুমকি দেওয়া হয়েছে। তাঁদের ভয় দেখিয়ে ট্রাক মার্কায় ভোট দেওয়ার জন্য বলা হচ্ছে। এই ভয়ে অনেকে আজ ঘরে বসে আছেন।’ জনতার উদ্দেশে তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘আমার বিরুদ্ধে এই ষড়যন্ত্রের সঙ্গে কারা জড়িত আছেন, আপনাদের আমি বলতে চাই। এটার পেছনে আমাদের বর্তমান এমপি নূর মোহাম্মদ জড়িত আছেন। এই নূর মোহাম্মদ আমার লোকগুলোকে ডেকে নিয়ে তাঁদের কাছ থেকে টাকা আদায় করে ট্রাকের লোকদের সেই টাকা দিচ্ছেন। এটার যথেষ্ট প্রমাণ রয়েছে।
জনসভায় পাকুন্দিয়া উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান রফিকুল ইসলামের সভাপতিত্বে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তব্য দেন কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক আইনজীবী এম এ আফজল। এ সময় আওয়ামী লীগ, অঙ্গ ও সহযোগী সংগঠনের নেতা-কর্মীরা বক্তব্য দেন।
কটিয়াদী-পাকুন্দিয়া উপজেলা নিয়ে গঠিত কিশোরগঞ্জ-২ আসন। এখান থেকে বর্তমান সংসদ সদস্য নূর মোহাম্মদ, আবদুল কাহার আকন্দ ও সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য মো. সোহরাব উদ্দিন আওয়ামী লীগের মনোনয়ন চেয়েছিলেন। এর মধ্যে আবদুল কাহার আকন্দকে মনোনয়ন দেওয়া হয়। মো. সোহরাব উদ্দিন ঈগল প্রতীক নিয়ে স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী হিসেবে নির্বাচন করছেন। নূর মোহাম্মদ মনোনয়নবঞ্চিত হয়ে এই আসনের আরেক স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী বিএনপির বহিষ্কৃত নেতা সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য মেজর (অব) আখতারুজ্জামানের ট্রাক প্রতীককে সমর্থন জানান। এ নিয়ে এই আসনের নির্বাচনের মাঠ গরম আছে।
সার্বিক বিষয় নিয়ে কথা বলতে আজ বুধবার সকালে নূর মোহাম্মদকে মুঠোফোনে কল করে পাওয়া যায়নি। তবে গত সপ্তাহে  বলেছিলেন, অন্য প্রার্থীদের চেয়ে আখতারুজ্জামানকে তাঁর কাছে সাহসী ও যোগ্য মনে হয়েছে, তাই তাঁকে সমর্থন দিয়েছেন। নিজের অনুগত আওয়ামী লীগের নেতা-কর্মী ও সমর্থকদের আখতারুজ্জামানের পক্ষে নির্বাচন করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন তিনি।
বিএনপির বহিষ্কৃত নেতা আখতারুজ্জামান এক দিকে দলের বিরোধিতা করে নির্বাচনে অংশ নিয়েছেন, অপর দিকে বক্তৃতায় একই সঙ্গে খালেদা জিয়ার মুক্তি ও শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ গড়ার কথা বলে সমালোচনার মুখে পড়েছেন।

বাংলাদেশ পল্লী বিদ্যুতায়ন বোর্ডের রাজস্ব খাতভুক্ত তত্ত্বাবধায়ক (সম্পত্তি) পদে আবেদনকারী প্রার্থীদের এমসিকিউ, লিখিত ও মৌখিক পরীক্ষার সময়সূচি প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। প্রতিষ্ঠানটির ওয়েবসাইটে এক বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে।

বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়েছে, এমসিকিউ ও লিখিত পরীক্ষা ১৭ ডিসেম্বর এবং মৌখিক পরীক্ষা ১৮ ডিসেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। রাজধানীর খিলক্ষেতে বাংলাদেশ পল্লী বিদ্যুতায়ন বোর্ডে তিনটি পরীক্ষাই নেওয়া হবে।

BRTC written exam results released, 215 passed

The results of the written examination for the posts of Assistant Administrative Officer, POL Attendant and Cleaner of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) have been published.

A notification on the BRTC website said that 11 people have passed the exam for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer, 153 people have passed the exam for the post of POL Attendant and 51 people have passed the exam for the post of Cleaner.

The date of the oral examination for candidates who pass the written examination will be published on the website at a later date.

Written examinations for the posts of Assistant Administrative Officer, POL Attendant and Cleaner were held yesterday, Saturday.



Forest Department written exam results published

The results of the written examination for the posts of Forest Guard and Office Assistant under the revenue sector of the Chittagong Division of the Forest Department have been published. The results were published on the organization's website.

258 people have passed the Forest Guard post and 244 have passed the Office Assistant post. The written examination for these two posts was held on December 9.

A notification was published on October 27 for the recruitment of manpower for the posts of Forest Guard and Office Assistant. A total of 83 people will be recruited for these two posts. Out of these, 75 people will be recruited for the posts of Forest Guard and 8 people will be recruited for the posts of Office Assistant.

বাংলাদেশ টেক্সটাইল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (বুটেক্স) ২০২২-২৩ শিক্ষাবর্ষের স্নাতক প্রথম বর্ষের ভর্তি পরীক্ষার জন্য যোগ্য প্রার্থীদের তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।

এ তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। এবার ভর্তি পরীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে ১৬ জুন (শুক্রবার)। ওই দিন সকাল সাড়ে ৯টা থেকে সাড়ে ১১টা পর্যন্ত ভর্তি পরীক্ষা বুটেক্স ক্যাম্পাসে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

গত ১২ এপ্রিল অনলাইনে ভর্তি পরীক্ষার আবেদন প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়। ১৩ মে শেষ হয় আবেদন। আবেদন ফি ছিল ২০০ টাকা। এইচএসসিতে পদার্থবিজ্ঞান, রসায়নবিজ্ঞান ও উচ্চতর গণিতে প্রাপ্ত সর্বোচ্চ নম্বরের ভিত্তিতে যোগ্য প্রার্থীদের তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ।
