New cabinet to be sworn in on Monday

The grand alliance government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to form the government again. Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. The oath-taking of the new cabinet will be held at 3 pm on Monday (January 7).

Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter and said that the new cabinet members will take oath at Bangabhaban next Monday.

After the oath-taking ceremony of the members of the 11th Parliament at Level-1 of the Parliament Building at 11 am on Thursday (January 3), the leader of the Parliament, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, went to Bangabhaban. There, President Md. Abdul Hamid invited her to form the new government. New MPs are sworn in today

আজ একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদের নবনির্বাচিত এমপিরা শপথ গ্রহণ করবেন। বিধি মোতাবেক দশম সংসদের স্পিকার ড. শিরীন শারমিন চৌধুরী তাদের শপথ পাঠ করাবেন। বেলা ১১টায় সংসদ ভবনের শপথকক্ষে শপথ অনুষ্ঠান হবে।

এজন্য প্রয়োজনীয় প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করেছে জাতীয় সংসদ সচিবালয়। নবনির্বাচিত এমপিদের শপথকক্ষে প্রবেশের সময় ফুল দিয়ে স্বাগত জানানো হবে। শপথকক্ষে ঢোকার পর সবার হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হবে শপথনামার ফোল্ডার। আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আসন গ্রহণের পর পবিত্র কোরআন তিলাওয়াতের মাধ্যমে শুরু হবে শপথ অনুষ্ঠান।
এরপর স্পিকার ড. শিরীন শারমিন চৌধুরীকে শপথ নেওয়ার জন্য আহ্বান জানানো হবে। স্পিকার নিজেও একাদশ সংসদের এমপি নির্বাচিত হওয়ায় অন্যদের শপথ পড়ানোর আগে তিনি নিজে নিজের শপথ গ্রহণ করবেন। এরপর অন্য এমপিদের শপথবাক্য পাঠ করাবেন।

একাদশ সংসদের সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ দল হিসেবে স্পিকারের পর শপথ নেবেন আওয়ামী লীগের এমপিরা। এমপির সংখ্যা বেশি হওয়ায় কয়েক ভাগে তাদের শপথ পড়ানো হতে পারে। তাদের শপথ গ্রহণ শেষে দ্বিতীয় সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ দল হিসেব জাতীয় পার্টির এমপিরা ও সব শেষে অন্যান্য দল ও স্বতন্ত্র এমপিরা শপথ নেবেন। শপথ অনুষ্ঠান পরিচালনা করবেন সংসদ সচিবালয়ের দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত সিনিয়র সচিব ড. জাফর আহমদ খান।

এদিকে একাদশ সংসদের নবনির্বাচিত এমপিদের স্বাগত জানাতে প্রয়োজনীয় প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করেছে সংসদ সচিবালয়। ইতিমধ্যে শপথকক্ষসহ সংসদ সচিবালয় ধুয়েমুছে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন করা হয়েছে। শপথকক্ষ পর্যন্ত নতুন লাল কার্পেট বিছানো হয়েছে। ফুলের টব দিয়ে সাজানো হয়েছে সংসদের প্রবেশপথ ও লবি।

শপথ গ্রহণের পর সদস্যদের জন্য নির্ধারিত ফরম ও কার্যপ্রণালিবিধির কপি প্রস্তুত রাখা হয়েছে। নির্বাচন কমিশন থেকে প্রকাশিত সংসদ নির্বাচনের ফলাফল গেজেট গতকাল সংসদ সচিবালয়ে পৌঁছেছে। সে অনুযায়ী সংসদ সচিবের স্বাক্ষর করা আমন্ত্রণপত্র নবনির্বাচিত সংসদ সদস্যদের পাঠানোর পাশাপাশি টেলিফোনে তাদের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করে উপস্থিত থাকার জন্য অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে।

সংসদ সচিবালয় সূত্র আরও জানান, শপথ গ্রহণের পর এমপিদের তৃতীয় তলার ভিআইপি ক্যাফেটেরিয়ায় আপ্যায়ন করা হবে। এরপর নবনির্বাচিত এমপিরা সংসদ সচিবের কক্ষে রক্ষিত সংরক্ষিত রেজিষ্টারে স্বাক্ষর করবেন এবং সংসদ স্টুডিওতে গিয়ে প্রোফাইল ছবি তুলবেন। শপথ অনুষ্ঠানের সব আনুষ্ঠানিকতা শেষে আজ আওয়ামী লীগের সংসদীয় দলের বৈঠক হবে। বৈঠকে সংসদ নেতা নির্বাচন করা হবে।

এসব বিষয়ে গতকাল দফায় দফায় রিহার্সাল করতে দেখা গেছে সংসদ সচিবালয়ের কর্মকর্তাদের। সংবিধান অনুযায়ী, গেজেট প্রকাশের তিন দিনের মধ্যে নতুন এমপিদের শপথ গ্রহণের ও এক মাসের মধ্যে সংসদ অধিবেশন আহ্বান করার বাধ্যবাধকতা রয়েছে।

সংসদ সচিবালয়ের আইন কর্মকর্তা জানান, একাদশ সংসদের প্রথম অধিবেশনেই সংসদ নেতা, স্পিকার ও ডেপুটি স্পিকার নির্বাচিত হবেন। নতুন স্পিকারকে রাষ্ট্রপতি শপথ পাঠ করাবেন। তবে বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা কে হবেন তা এখনো নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি। এ বিষয়ে জাতীয় পার্টির মহাসচিব মশিউর রহমান রাঙ্গা সাংবাদিকদের জানান, সংবিধান অনুযায়ী আমরা বিরোধী দল হতে পারব, সমস্যা নেই। মহাজোটের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে ও দলের প্রেসিডিয়ামের সঙ্গে বসে সিদ্ধান্ত নেব আমরা বিরোধী দলে যাব কিনা।

এদিকে বিএনপি সূত্রে জানা গেছে, আজকের শপথ অনুষ্ঠানে তাদের নির্বাচিত সদস্যরা অংশ নেবেন না। উল্লেখ্য, ৩০ ডিসেম্বর জাতীয় সংসদের ২৯৯ আসনে নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। গাইবান্ধা-৩ আসনের নির্বাচন স্থগিত ছিল।

Awami League president and three-time Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been elected in Gopalganj-3 seat in the 11th national parliamentary elections with a huge margin of votes. He got 2 lakh 29 thousand 539 votes in the boat symbol. His closest rival SM Jilani got only 123 votes.

This is the Islamic movement of Bangladesh. Maruf Sheikh got 71 votes in the hand fan symbol, independent candidate Md. Enamul Haque got 10 votes in the apple symbol and another independent candidate Md. Wazir Fakir Singh got only 4 votes in the symbol.
