Schedule of 15th Teacher Registration Exam

The time for the preliminary and written examination of the 15th teacher registration has been fixed. The Non-Governmental Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) announced this information in a notification.

The notification said that the preliminary examination for school and school stage-2 will be held on Friday, April 19 from 10 am to 11 am and the preliminary examination for college level will be held from 3 pm to 4 pm. In addition, the written examination for school and school stage-2 will be held on Friday, July 26 from 9 am to 10 am. And the written examination for college level will be held on July 27.
The admit card for the preliminary examination of registration will be uploaded on the website and candidates will be informed about it by sending SMS. The admit card will mention the venue and date of the preliminary examination.

It is worth noting that the notification for the 15th Teacher Registration Examination was published on November 28 for the recruitment of teachers in private educational institutions. Due to litigation, the NTRCA published the notification for this examination after about a year. After that, the online application process started from December 5 and continued till December 26.




Discussion on Bangabandhu's birth anniversary and National Children's Day in Lakshmipur

A discussion was held in Laxmipur on the 99th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day. On Sunday (March 17), at 10 am, at the initiative of the Bangladesh Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa Teachers' Association Laxmipur District Branch, the discussion meeting was held at the Bhabaniganj Gaza Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa. The chief guest was Maulana Abdur Rahim, President of the Bangladesh Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa Teachers' Association Laxmipur District Branch, and the special guest was General Secretary Mohammad Saif Ullah Helal. Master Mohammad Abu Yusuf, Maulana Abdul Motaleb, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Nizam Uddin, and others spoke.

Youth arrested for sexually harassing 5-year-old child in Kamalnagar

Own Reporter: Locals have arrested driver Md. Bablu (35) for allegedly sexually harassing a 5-year-old child by lifting him on an easy bike in Kamalnagar, Laxmipur. The incident took place in the West Bazar area of Hazirhat on Sunday (March 17) afternoon. The arrested Bablu is the son of Shamsuddin of Char Falkon village. He drives an easy bike on rent on the Hazirhat-Matabbarhat road. Locals said that when the child came to the market to buy chocolate, Bablu forcibly lifted him on an easy bike. Since there were no other passengers, he sexually harassed the child. The child went home crying and told her family members. Later, locals arrested him and informed the police. Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain confirmed the arrest and said that legal action will be taken after investigating the matter.




BMSF Kamalnagar Upazila Branch Conference, President Tarek, Secretary Noman

 Kamalnagar Correspondent: The Kamalnagar Upazila Conference of the Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Forum (BMSF), formed to realize the 14-point demands of journalists and establish greater unity among journalists across the country, has been held in Lakshmipur district. The conference was held at the Kamalnagar Upazila branch BMSF meeting room at 7 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019. On this occasion, Kamalnagar Upazila branch convener Ismail Hossain Biplob presided over the conference, conducted by member secretary Ariful Islam (AI Tarek), and Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. I see my mother's shadow in the Prime Minister: VP Nur

Dhaka: Nurul Haque Nur, the newly elected vice-president (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU), sees a shadow of his mother in Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Nur made this statement during a speech during an exchange of greetings with the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban, her residence, on Saturday (March 16) afternoon.

She said, "I lost my mother at the age of two and a half. As a child, I saw the shadow of my mother in one of my school teachers. In another, I found motherhood, in the Prime Minister, I found the shadow of motherhood."

Stating that Sheikh Hasina's strong leadership and development work have taken her to a commendable position in the world, VP Nur sought the Prime Minister's cooperation in implementing DUCSU.




Death toll in Christchurch mosque attacks rises to 49

The death toll from the shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, has risen to 49. More than 20 people were injured in the gunman's attack. Police have arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with the incident.

The attacks occurred at Masjid Al Noor on Deans Ave and Linwood Mosque on Linwood Ave in Christchurch during Friday prayers at noon local time.
A video was released shortly after the attack. The video shows bodies scattered around the mosque. Around 15 bodies are piled up in one corner. The attacker approaches them and shoots them repeatedly.

When one of the assailants tried to escape from the sudden attack, the attacker became more violent and started shooting at him more. The attack was carried out by blocking the exit from the mosque.

Police have taken a cautious stance, describing the attack as a "serious incident." As a precautionary measure, the city's hospitals and all schools have been ordered to stay indoors, as is the case with the city. Police have also asked residents not to leave their homes.




World Consumer Rights Day celebrated in Kamalnagar

 

Kamalnagar (Lakshmipur): A rally and discussion were held on World Consumer Rights Day under the slogan "Safe and quality products".

The upazila administration organized the event at the Spandan Room in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur on Friday (March 15) morning.

The meeting's president and chief guest, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Imtiaz Hossain, said that every nation should buy, sell and consume safe and quality products. Safe food supply is very necessary for every citizen. Adulterated food can be a serious risk at any time. Every trader and consumer should refrain from supplying expired food. Also, every product should have a market price.

Pregnant girlfriend on hunger strike in Kamalnagar

 

Own Reporter: Pregnant lover Runa Akhtar (18) is on a hunger strike at her boyfriend's house in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur, demanding marriage. A group including local public representatives are trying to suppress the issue. Boyfriend Sajib is absconding.

On Thursday evening (March 14), the pregnant girlfriend of expatriate Abdus Shahid was seen on a hunger strike in the Miapara area of Char Jangalia village of the upazila. Earlier, the girlfriend had taken up residence at her boyfriend's house demanding a 12 noon wedding.

The accused lover, Md. Sajib, is the son of Abdus Sahid of Miapara area of Char Jangalia village in Hazirhat union. He is a class 12 student of Coastal College.

Runa Akhter, who is on a hunger strike demanding marriage, said that her neighbor Sajib (22) proposed to her. When she did not agree to his words, he proposed marriage. Later, under the pretext of marriage, she got into an affair and became six months pregnant. If her boyfriend Sajib did not marry her, she would continue her hunger strike until death; otherwise, she would commit suicide, her lover said.

Runa's relatives said that a group, including her boyfriend Sajib's family, is trying to cover up the matter by killing the unborn child in exchange for money.

Despite multiple calls to the accused Sajib's mobile phone to inquire about this matter, he could not be reached.

Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain said no one has filed a complaint in the incident. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is received.




70,000 meters of electricity grid destroyed in Kamalnagar

 
Kamalnagar (Lakshmipur): The Coast Guard has recovered 70,000 meters of nets during a drive in the Meghna River in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur. The drive was conducted from the morning to the afternoon on Wednesday (March 13) under the leadership of the Upazila Fisheries Office and Coast Guard. After the drive, the nets were burned in the presence of the Fisheries Officer and Coast Guard. Upazila Fisheries Officer Abdul Quddus said that 70,000 meters of nets were recovered during a drive at Kadir Pandit's Hat Kadriya Ghat in the upazila. No one was arrested during this time. He further said that from February 28 to April 30, it is the season for the conservation of Hilsa sanctuaries and Jatka. During this time, all types of fishing have been banned in the Meghna River. The drive was launched after receiving information that preparations were being made for fishing despite the ban. The drive will continue. Those who violate the ban will be brought under the law.
