পর্তুগিজ তারকা ক্রিশ্চিয়ানো রোনালদো সৌদি ক্লাবে যাওয়ার পর থেকেই শোনা যাচ্ছিল গুঞ্জনটা। মেসিকেও নাকি প্রস্তাব দিয়েছিল রোনালদোর দল আল নাসেরের প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী ক্লাব আল হিলাল। তবে এমন প্রস্তাবের কথা উড়িয়ে দিলেন স্প্যানিশ ফুটবল বিশেষজ্ঞ গিলেম বালাগ। আল হিলাল থেকে নাকি কোনো প্রস্তাবই পাননি আর্জেন্টিনার মহাতারকা লিওনেল মেসি।

গিলেম বালাগ জানিয়েছেন, লিওনেল মেসিকে পাওয়ার জন্য সৌদি আরবের ক্লাব আল হিলাল কোনো প্রস্তাব দেয়নি। বরং ফরাসি চ্যাম্পিয়ন পিএসজির সঙ্গে চুক্তি নবায়নের জোর সম্ভাবনা আছে আর্জেন্টাইন মহাতারকার। 

ব্রিটিশ গণমাধ্যম বিবিসির কাছে তিনি বলেছেন, ‘এমন কোনো প্রস্তাব দেওয়া হয়নি। পিএসজি ও মেসি আগামী কয়েক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে বৈঠকে বসবে যাতে তাকে প্যারিসে ধরে রাখার চুক্তি চূড়ান্ত করা যায়।’

সংবাদমাধ্যমের খবর, রোনালদোকে আল নাসের যে পরিমাণ বেতন দিচ্ছে মেসিকে তার থেকেও বেশি দিতে চায় আল হিলাল। সেটা রোনালদোর ২ হাজার ২৩৯ কোটি টাকার চেয়েও বেশি। যদিও ক্লাবটির পক্ষ থেকে এমন কোনো কথা শোনা যায়নি।

Former all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the interim chief selector of the Pakistan national cricket team.

The three-member selection committee also includes Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftekhar Anjum.
