NCTF's annual general meeting and elections held in Netrakona

The annual general meeting and elections of the Netrakona district branch of the National Children's Federation (NCTF), which works to implement child rights across the country, were held on Saturday (December 17) afternoon.
District Children's Affairs Officer Mir Bablur Rahman inaugurated the formal activities of this general meeting and election at the Netrokona Municipality Auditorium.

Chaired by Homayra Amin Saima and moderated by Sarbjit Das, he said that through the NCTF elections, children will be interested in organizing. At the same time, he expressed hope that worthy leadership of the future will be created. After the discussion meeting, the election was held from 12 noon to 3 pm to form the National Children's Task Force (NCTF) Netrokona District Executive Committee. Youth must excel in education and sports: Anwar Khan MP

Bangladesh will be the future Bangladesh will be the youth of today. Today's youth will be the leader of tomorrow Bangladesh. Youth society should be ready to lead that Bangladesh. Education and sports should be the best. Only sports can keep the youth away from drugs.

He said these things as the chief guest at the final and prize distribution ceremony of the 2nd season of Bangabandhu Honda Cup Football Tournament on Saturday (December 17) afternoon. The event will be organized at Panapaja School ground in Ramganj.
Esmt Anonor Khan MP also said that our youth should be sincere in these aspects of sports and cultural activities. It is my desire that the government is working in the field of sports development. The government is working to ensure that everyone from the children of the country to the youth has a good opportunity to play in sports and to be adept in cultural practices.

Bigha Madrasa building inaugurated in Ramganj

Dr Antar Hossain Khan, Member of Parliament for Laxmipur-1 (Ramganj) Constituency, said that in the last 10 years, Bangladesh has been in a state of development. Before that, we have seen that schools and madrasas in different villages and towns were in a very dilapidated condition. Now that the welfare of the country, Sheikh Hasina is leading the self-reliant leadership in the government, going to Agsat.

School Admission start from tomorrow, have to obey the instructions

The admission process of public and private schools is starting from tomorrow Sunday (December 18), which will continue till December 21. The student admission process from the waiting list will continue from December 22 to 27.

This information has been informed in a circular signed by the Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Professor Nehal Ahmed, on December 15.

It is said in the notification, ‘Student selection process through digital lottery against vacant seats from entry class to ninth class in government (all) and private (in-metropolitan and district headquarters) secondary schools was held on December 12 and 13 respectively. The result sheets of the selected students in the lottery have already been sent to the concerned institutions.

The following points must be followed while taking admission of selected students through digital lottery.

1) Documents selected during admission should be thoroughly verified.

2) Original copy of student's birth certificate during verification of documents of selected students, online copy of birth certificate (will be verified online if applicable), original copy of national identity card of parents should be checked carefully.

3) If a student is selected (subjected verification) by providing false information, he cannot be admitted.

4) The same student who is selected multiple times by changing the birth registration number online, is selected multiple times by providing false information (subject to verification) cannot be admitted due to fraud.

5) Quota which is reserved in the last admission policy issued by the Ministry of Education, at the time of admission, the quota related documents of the selected students should be properly verified. If the vacant seats are not filled in the other reserved quota, only those vacant seats should be filled in the order of the waiting list from the general selected students.

6) Regarding the admission of brothers/brothers or twin brothers/sisters, the concerned admission committee will verify the application and take necessary measures for admission.




President calls for stopping anti-Constitution and anti-Liberation War activities

The President has called for the constitution, liberation war and any anti-independence activities to be stopped. Abdul Hamid.

Cultural activists are always a force for independence: Anwar Khan MP

Lakshmipur-1 MP Dr. Anwar Hossain Khan said that cultural activists have always been a force in favor of independence. They have never stood against the spirit of the Liberation War and the independence of the country. There is no alternative to cultural practice to prevent fundamentalism, communalism and religious extremism. As a result of various initiatives taken by the current government, there has been a stir in the field of cultural practice in the last ten years.

He made these remarks while addressing the chief guest at a cultural program organized at the Ramganj Upazila Parishad auditorium on Friday night (December 16). During the event, posthumous tributes were paid to eight cultural workers for their invaluable contributions to art, literature and culture.

They are former Ramganj Municipality councilor Motahar Hossain Patwari, Awami League leader Shahjahan Master, music artist Swapan Chakraborty, Bishweshwar Saha, Radheshyam Patwari, Malay Nandi, Joydev Chandra Saha, Krishna Gopal Baul.
