The Bangladesh Brick Manufacturing Owners Association No.takhali District Branch has held a human chain program to demand the license of the Zigzag Brick Kilns Act-2013 and the Brick Preparation and Establishment Control Act-2013 and the Brick Preparation and Establishment of Kilns Act-2019. At the same time, the agitators have presented a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the District Commissioner to find out the solution of the crisis.

মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুকরের ট্রাস্টি চিত্তরঞ্জন শীল বলেন, আমি একদিন বাড়ি ফেরার সময় রিকশায় উঠলে দেখতে পেলাম রিক্সার দু হেন্ডেলে অন্য দেশের পতাকা, তখন ওই রিক্সা চালকে পতাকার বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলে তিনি উত্তরে বলেন আমি সেই দেশের ফুটবলের ভক্ত তাই লাগিয়েছি। দেশে এত এমপি-মন্ত্রীরা আছে তাদের গাড়িতে যখন পতাকা লাগাতে পারে তাহলে আমি সামান্য রিক্সা চালক হয়ে কেন পারব না। আমি সেদিন তার কেন র উত্তর দিতে পারি না। তাহলে বুঝতেই পারছেন দেশের জাতীয় পতাকার সম্মান মানুষের কাছে কতটা নিচে নেমে যাচ্ছে। আমরা জাতীয় পতাকার প্রতি মানুষের সম্মান আবারও পুনরুদ্ধর করতে চাচ্ছি। এর জন্য প্রতিবাদ সমাবেশে প্রায় সকল শ্রেণীর মানুষ একত্র হয়েছি। দরকার হলে আমরা বাংলাদেশের সম্মান পুনরুদ্ধারের লক্ষ্যে আন্দোলনে নামবো।

মানববন্ধন শেষে জেলা প্রশাসকের বরাবর স্মারক লিপি প্রেরণ করেন বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের সদস্যরা। পাশাপাশি প্রধানমন্ত্রী বরাবরও এই স্মারক লিপি পাঠানো হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন তারা।
