লক্ষ্মীপুরের রামগঞ্জে স্মার্ট জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র বিতরন উদ্ভোধন করা হয়েছে। ২০নভেম্বর (রবিবার) সকালে উপজেলার ৭নং দরবেশপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদে ওই বিতরন কার্যক্রের উদ্ভোধন করা হয়।
২০নভেম্বর থেকে আগামী ২৭নভেম্বর (সাপ্তাহব্যাপী) দরবেশপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদে ফিঙ্গারপিন্ট ও আইরিশ নিয়ে স্মার্ট কার্ড বিতরন করা হবে। উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে আলোচনা সভায় দরবেশপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মিজানুর রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে আলোচনা সভায় প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কুমিল্লা অঞ্চলের নির্বাচন কর্মকর্তা মোঃ দুলাল তালুকদার।

Husband sentenced to death for killing housewife in Noakhali

The court sentenced her husband Md. Milla (35) to death for the murder of housewife Kahinoor Begum (30) in Subarnachar of Nokhali, and she was fined 10,000 rupees.

The convicted Md. Millad is the son of Md. Shahjahan of Charbata Unitn of Subarnachar Upazila, who is currently in jail.

On hearing the news, the people of the father-in-law came and recovered the body of housewife Kohinoor from the house. The day after the incident, the brother of the deceased, Belal Uddin, accused the brother of the deceased, filed a murder case in Charjabbar police station.

The lawyer for the accused, Mr. Miraj Uddi Juestel, said that the court accepted the testimony of 18 people. No witness could prove the poison in a definition. They did not see the poison, but the accused confessed his guilt in the court of Section 164 and sentenced Millad to death after the court hearing.



Trafficker arrested after rescuing 4 women in Kabirhat

The women were rescued from Dhanshalik Uniton Parishad of Kabirhat Upazila on Wednesday (November 16) night.

Sugar and oil prices increased

The price of oil and sugar has increased further. The price of the two products in the market has been announced amid the crisis of the two products. Bottled Satabin oil will be sold at Tk 190 per liter. The previous year has been increased to Tk 12 per kg and packaged sugar has been made at Tk 13 per kg.

The new price is coming into effect from today, to be sure of the poison from the Ministry of Commerce.

It is known that the Bangladesh Vegetable Refiners and Banspati Manufacturers Association of the edible oil refining factory owners officially announced the decision to increase the price of oil on Wednesday. Similarly, the decision to raise the price of sugar yesterday, the organization of the owners of the sugar refining companies, Bangladesh Sugar Refinance Association.

Until now, bottled satbins were sold at Tk 178. According to the new price, 190 rupees are being sold today. The price of 5 liter bottled Satabin oil has risen to Tk 925. So far the price was 880 rupees, which means 45 rupees.

Chhatra League worker seriously injured in Jamaat Shibir attack in Bijbagh, Senbagh

In front of No. 3rd Jagar High School of No. 8 Bij Bagh Unit in Senbagh, No.Kakhali, B.C., Amjad Hossain Shibu (22) was seriously injured in front of the Chhatra League activist Amjad Hossain Shibu (22) in Kupit.

Fire service and civil defense week exercise in Noakhali

Fire Service and Civil Defense Week was celebrated in Noakhali with various arrangements under the theme 'Reduce accidents and disasters and build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla'. Various exercises including discussion meetings and firefighting were held on the occasion.
 Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman inaugurated the program in the morning (November 16). Later, a discussion meeting was held.

The special guest was District Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidul Islam, while Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Sa'd Mohammad Andalib was present.
The Assistant Director of the Fire Service said that from January to October this year, a total of 724 fires have occurred in the district, including 118 from gas stoves, 232 from electrical short circuits, 103 from bidi-cigarettes and 271 from various causes including lightning. Fire service members have recovered goods worth about 311.73 crore taka from these incidents. In addition to the 9 fire stations in the 9 upazilas of the district, work is underway on another station at Jobair Mia Bazar in Subarnachar and Uday Sadhur Hat in Sadar, and a temporary station has been set up at Hatiyar Bhasanchar. Fire service members are working tirelessly to serve the people.

Former ACC officer Sharif joins job with salary of Tk 80,000
