উপজেলা মৎস্য কর্মকর্তা আমির হোসেন জানান, সরকারের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী ইলিশসহ মৎস্য সম্পদ রক্ষায় স্থানীয় প্রশাসন বদ্ধপরিকর। অবৈধ জাল ধ্বংস করার উদ্দেশ্যে অভিযান চলমান আছে। এ নিয়ে কিছু জেলে বিভিন্ন ভাবে অপপ্রচার ও বিভ্রান্তি ছড়ায়। যে কারনে মাছ ধরারত জেলেদের মতামত গ্রহন ও জাল পরিদর্শনে উদ্দেশ্যে এমপি মহোদয় ও জেলা মৎস্য কর্মকর্তা পরিদর্শনে আসেন।

Inauguration of subsidized agricultural machinery distribution program in Baniyachang

The inauguration of the agricultural machinery distribution program among farmers at a subsidized price of 70% was held in Baniyachang.
Out of the agricultural machinery worth 1 crore 99 lakh taka, the government is providing 1 crore 29 lakh 35 thousand taka at subsidized price. And farmers are providing only 69 lakh 65 thousand taka.
The meeting, held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium at 11 am on Tuesday, November 15, was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Padmasan Singh. Local MP and panel speaker Adv. Md. Abdul Majid Khan inaugurated the meeting as the chief guest.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Abul Kashem Chowdhury spoke as the special guest.
The keynote address was presented by Upazila Agriculture Officer and Agriculturist Md. Enamul Haque.

It is doubtful whether such measures would exist if Awami League was not in power.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has stood by farmers by subsidizing their fertilizer and agricultural machinery.
This government is providing farmers with limited free seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural machinery to increase production.
If production increases, the country will achieve self-sufficiency in food and farmers will become self-reliant.

Government offices to operate on new schedule from today

The activities of the government and entity offices of the country have started as per the new schedule.The office has started from 9 am on Tuesday (November 15) and will continue till 4 pm.

8-foot crocodile found in fish enclosure in Gosairhat

Locals rescued a huge crocodile from the fish enclosure in Gosairhat of Shariatpur.

Locals recovered the 8 feet long crocodile from the fish enclosure of Khalil Kazi of Pajalkandi village of Alwalpur Union of Gosairhat at 8 pm yesterday Monday (November 15).

Alaolpur Chairman Osman Bepari of the Union Parishad confirmed the matter.

He said that in the afternoon, the working workers saw a big hole in the ground in the fish enclosure, and when they suspected that, they made a trap with a thick rope at the mouth of the hole, and after seeing the huge crocodile stuck in the trap around 8 pm, the workers and locals informed the Union Parishad.

Osman also said that the upazila administration informed the upazila administration about the crocodile detention at the spot and the locals kept the crocodile at the same place at night and the forest department officials are expected to come to the spot on Tuesday morning and the next steps will be taken according to their decision.

1 killed in head-on collision between van and Nosimon in Boalmari

Faridpur Representative:

A person named Nazar Ali Biswas (32) was killed in a head-on collision between Van-Nasimon in Faridpur's Botalmari, six others were injured.

The deceased Nazar Ali is the son of Rahman Biswas of Ramnagar village of Sadar Unit of Boatalmari.

The accident took place at a place called Tentulita in Sahasrail-Kalyagar Sasik of the upazila at around 9 am on Monday (November 14).
Bostalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdul Wahab confirmed the poison, said Nazar Ali, who was killed in a head-on collision with Van-Nasimon, was injured and at least six people were injured and the first persons were known to have been identified.
However, among the injured, Liton Sheikh (24) and Tariqul Islam (26) are admitted to Botalmari Health Complex. Others are receiving treatment at various places, the bodies of the deceased have been recovered and brought to the police station, which is under process legal action.
