43 arrested in police raid in Dhaka!

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 43 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs by conducting anti-narcotics operations in different areas of the capital.

A large amount of drugs have been seized from those who have been arrested. 34 cases have been filed against the arrested persons of various police stations of DMP.

This Saturday (October 22) morning, DMP's Midi and Public Relations Department Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Md. Farooq Hossain came to know this information.

He said that as part of the anti-narcotics campaign of DMP, they were arrested in various areas of the capital from 6 am on Friday to 6 am.

631 pieces of Eightaba, 26 grams 30 purita heroin, 2 kg 440 grams 250 purita ganja and 20 bottles of Fensidil were seized from them.

He also said that 34 cases have been registered against the arrested police station under Narcotics Control Act.




Fire at hawkers' market in Mymensingh brought under control

The fire in the Hawkers Market in Ganginarpa, Mamansingh city, has come under fire.

 The fire broke out at 8:05 am on Saturday (October 22) and the fire was brought out at 9:00 am, but the fire was completely extinguished at 9:00 am.

Accused in Jubo Dal leader Didar's murder case arrested after a decade!

After the murder of Juba Dal leader, educationist lawyer Didarul Alam in Laxmipur, the police arrested a accused named Hiran Bhuita.

Fire in Ganginapara, Mymensingh!

Youth dies while applying dub in Lakshmipur

The meeting was attended by Upazila Chairman Monir Hossain Chowdhury, Executive Officer Umme Habiba Mira, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Monira Khatun, Project Implementation Officer Dilip Dey, Vice Chairman Delwar Hossain Dewan Bachchu, Chandipur UP Chairman Shamsul Islam Sumon, Upazila Primary Teachers Association President Sheikh Jahangir and General Secretary Afroza Akhter, etc. In this incident, Upazila Primary Teachers Association President Sheikh Jahangir and General Secretary Afroza Akhter along with teachers demanded a proper solution to the incident. Meanwhile, on Friday (October 21), when the matter spread everywhere, it created widespread discussion and criticism throughout the upazila.

According to local sources, Jewel Rana, Deputy Assistant Engineer of Ramganj Upazila (PIO) Project Implementation Department, and his wife, expatriate mother of 2 children and assistant teacher Nasrin Akhter, have been having an immoral relationship for 4 years due to extramarital affairs. The teacher has been demanding marriage repeatedly, but Jewel Rana has been passing the time without getting married, which has created a rift between the two. Sheikh Jahangir and Afroza Akhter, presidents of the Upazila Primary Teachers' Association, said, "We were present at the meeting, but the issue was not resolved. We are demanding a proper solution in this regard."

Shamsul Islam Sumon, chairman of Chandipur Union No. 5, said that the meeting did not resolve any issues, so time was given to sign the stamp.

Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Dilip Dey said, "After the meeting, I am leaving for Dhaka. I will discuss the details in the meeting."

Upazila Vice Chairman Delwar Hossain Dewan Bachchu said that the matter is complicated. Therefore, by the decision of everyone in the meeting, both of them were given time to complete the work.

Wife murdered by husband in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent-

A housewife named Nupur Akhtar (25) was allegedly murdered by her husband in Boalmari municipality of Faridpur. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station Muhammad Abdul Wahab confirmed the truth of the information on Friday (October 21) morning.

Earlier, on Thursday (October 20), the murder took place in Madhragati village of Boalmari municipality around 11 pm. Locals claim that the murder was committed due to his wife's infidelity.

Locals said that husband Musa Molya (32) stabbed his wife Nupur with a sharp weapon due to extramarital affairs. Later, Nupur was rescued and taken to Boalmari Upazila Health Complex. When her condition deteriorated there, Nupur died around 1 am on the way to Dhaka via Faridpur Medical Hospital. Husband Musa is said to be the son of Kawsar Molya of Madhgargati village.

Boalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Abdul Wahab said, "A police team has been sent to the spot after receiving the information. We will be able to provide more details about this later," the police official said.
