বরগুনায় সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সহকারী শিক্ষক এর উপর সন্ত্রাসী হামলার প্রতিবাদ ও আসামিদের আইনের আওতায় এনে বিচারের দাবিতে শনিবার সকাল ১০টায় অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

মানববন্ধনে বক্তব্য রাখেন জেলা প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা সমিতির সভাপতি আব্দুল আলীম লিটন, সন্ত্রাসী হামলা শিকার শিক্ষক রাকিবুল হাসান রকিবের স্ত্রী মুনিয়া আক্তার মুন্নি, আন্দোলন কর্মসূচি সমন্বয়ক শহিদুল ইসলাম স্বপ্ন, এসএসসি ২০০৪ ব্যাচের আহ্বায়ক আখতারুজ্জামান রকিব প্রমূখ।

মানববন্ধনে বক্তারা বলেন, বরগুনা শহরের ধানসিড়ি সড়কে সৎ ভাই ক্রোক সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সহকারী শিক্ষক রাকিবুল হাসানের কাছে টাকা চেয়ে না পেয়ে কুপিয়ে জখম করে। গত ১০ অক্টোবর সোমবার সকাল সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে রিপনের ধানসিড়ি বাসার সামনের রাস্তায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।

 সন্ত্রাসী হামলার শিকার রাকিবুলের স্ত্রী মুনিয়া আক্তার মুন্নী জানান, কয়েকদিন যাবৎ রিপন তার ছোট ভাইকে মোবাইল করে টাকা দাবি করে আসছিল। রাকিবুল তাকে বলে বাবার জায়গা বিক্রি করলে তাকে টাকার ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। সোমবার সকালে মোটরসাইকেল নিয়ে স্কুলে যাওয়ার পথে রিপনের বাসার সামনে গিয়ে তার সাথে কথা কাটাকাটি হয়। শেষে যাওয়ার সময় তাকে রামদা দিয়ে কোপ দেয় রিপন। হাত দিয়ে কোপ থামাতে গেলে রাকিবুলের বাম হাতে দুটি কোপ লেগে রগ কেটে যায়। পরে আহত অবস্থায় রাকিবুলকে উদ্ধার করে প্রথমে বরগুনা জেনারেল হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়। সেখান থেকে রাজধানীর পঙ্গু হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়।

মানববন্ধনে ভক্তরা এই ঘটনার তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে প্রকৃত দোষীদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি দাবি করেন।

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that it has been possible to bring 99 percent of the country's population under the umbrella of healthy sanitation and safe water sources, which was 33 percent in 2003.

He said this in a message on Friday (October 14) on the occasion of National Sanitation Month and Global Handwashing Day.

Sheikh Hasina said that the open defecation rate was 44 percent in 2003. Now it is almost zero. This success of Bangladesh has been praised internationally.

Many projects related to water, sanitation and waste management are underway, including the establishment of water laboratories in all districts of the country. The government is implementing various activities for human resource development, construction and use of environmentally friendly improved toilets, awareness on sanitation and waste management, innovation and application of sustainable technologies to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-6.

He said, "Our government is committed to ensuring safe sanitation and a healthy environment for all. In 13 and a half years, it has implemented 50 projects at a cost of about 14 thousand crore taka to ensure safe water supply, healthy sanitation and waste management in rural and urban areas."

It is important to properly observe 'National Sanitation Month' and 'Global Handwashing Day' to ensure sanitation and water supply for all by 2030.

ভোক্তা অধিকার সংরক্ষণ আইন অনুযায়ী সেবা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে গণশুনানির আয়োজন করেছে জাতীয় ভোক্তা অধিকার সংরক্ষণ অধিদফতর।

রোববার (১৬ অক্টোবর) সকালে কারওয়ান বাজারে টিসিবি অডিটোরিয়ামে সরকারি, বেসরকারি ও রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ব প্রতিষ্ঠান, ব‍্যক্তি মালিকানাধীন প্রতিষ্ঠান, উৎপাদনকারী, বিনিয়োগকারী, আমদানিকারক, পাইকারি ও খুচরা ব‍্যবসায়ী, ভোক্তা, সংশ্লিষ্ট সমিতি, চেম্বারগুলোর অংশগ্রহণে এই গণশুনানি হবে। এতে প্রধান অতিথি থাকবেন বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের সিনিয়র সচিব তপন কান্তি ঘোষ। অধিদফতরের পক্ষ থেকে এ ব্যাপারে বলা হয়েছে, গণশুনানিতে ভোক্তা- অধিকার সংরক্ষণ আইন, ২০০৯ অনুযায়ী সেবা প্রদান নিয়ে শুনানি হবে।

ভোক্তাদের স্বার্থ নিয়ে কাজ করার প্রত্যয়ে শুরু হওয়া ভোক্তা অধিকার সংরক্ষণ অধিদফতর নানা কর্মকাণ্ডের মাধ্যমে আলোচনার জন্ম দিয়েছে।

বিশেষ করে নিত্যপণ্যের দাম নাগালে রাখতে, ভেজাল পণ্য বিক্রি বন্ধে নিয়মিত অভিযান পরিচালনার মাধ্যমে সাধারণ মানুষের দৃষ্টি কেড়েছে সংস্থাটি।

মাদকবিরোধী অভিযান চালিয়ে রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে ৪১ জনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) অপরাধ ও গোয়েন্দা বিভাগ।

শুক্রবার সকাল ৬টা থেকে শনিবার (১৫ অক্টোবর) একই সময়ের মধ্যে তাদের গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের মিডিয়া সেল।

ডিএমপি জানায়, নিয়মিত মাদকবিরোধী অভিযান চালিয়ে রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে ৪১ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। এ সময় তাদের কাছ থেকে ১ হাজার ৭৮৭ পিস ইয়াবা, ৪৬ কেজি ১৫০ গ্রাম গাঁজা ও ১৫০ গ্রাম ৯০ পুরিয়া হেরোইন জব্দ করা হয়েছে।

এছাড়া গ্রেফতারদের বিরুদ্ধে সংশ্লিষ্ট থানায় মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে ৩২টি মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে বলেও জানিয়েছে ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের মিডিয়া সেল।

হবিগঞ্জ প্রতিনিধিঃ

 বানিয়াচং উপজেলায় মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ে শ্রেষ্ঠ শিক্ষক নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন মোঃ বায়েজিদ।

জাতীয় শিক্ষা সপ্তাহ ২০২২ উপলক্ষে উপজেলার মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ের শ্রেষ্ঠ শিক্ষক নির্বাচিত করা হয়।

বানিয়াচং উপজেলার প্রাচীন বিদ্যাপীঠ লোকনাথ রমন বিহারী সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের(এল আর সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়) সমাজ বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ের সহকারী শিক্ষক মোঃ বায়েজিদ।

তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে ২০১২ সালে সমাজ বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ে ১ ম শ্রেণীতে অনার্স-মাস্টার্স সম্পন্ন করেছেন।

মোঃ বায়েজিদ ৩৪ তম বিসিএস (নন ক্যাডার-২০১৭) হতে সহকারী শিক্ষক হিসেবে যোগদান করেছেন।

 মোঃ বায়েজিদ লোকনাথ রমন বিহারী সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের(এল আর সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়) শেখ রাসেল ডিজিটাল ল্যাবরেটরি ও আইএলসি ল্যাবরেটরি’র কো-অর্ডিনেটর হিসেবে ও দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।

এছাড়া ২০১৯ সালে জাতীয় শিশু কিশোর প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতায় প্রশিক্ষক (বানিয়াচং-নবীগঞ্জ-আজমিরীগঞ্জ উপজেলা) হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।

A witness was injured in the shooting of the accused while testifying in a murder case in Narsingdi. The incident took place on Friday (October 14) afternoon in Panchdona of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. The injured Sajib Mia (30) is the son of Dulal Mia of Asmandirchar area of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. He was one of the witnesses in the controversial Arif Pathan murder case in Shibpur. The relatives of the injured said that Sajib was going to the mosque for Friday prayers. On the way, when he reached in front of Panchdona School, a group of terrorists led by Titu, the main accused in the murder case, Masud and Palash, who had taken a position in advance, attacked Sajib with country-made weapons. At that time, when he ran away, they opened fire and left. Later, people around rescued him and took him to Narsingdi District Hospital. Dr. Tasrifa Amrin Haque Antara, the on-duty doctor of Narsingdi District Hospital, said that a person named Sajib Mia was given primary treatment in the emergency department in the afternoon. Although the patient mentioned the shooting, we are not sure. The cause of the injury has been determined and sent to Dhaka Medical College for advanced treatment. Narsingdi Additional Superintendent of Police Al-Amin said in this regard, we have received information. The police have visited the scene. Legal action will be taken after investigation. It is worth noting that on April 1, 2015, the then UP member of Putia Union in Shibpur, Arif Hossain Pathan, was killed in a shooting by terrorists. His younger brother Roman Pathan filed a murder case as the plaintiff. Titu, Masud and Palash, along with a few others, were made accused in the case. One of the witnesses in this case was Sajib Mia, who was injured in the shooting.

ফরিদপুরের সালথায় প্রশাসনের হস্তক্ষেপে একটি বাল্যবিয়ে বন্ধ হয়েছে। শুক্রবার (১৪ অক্টোবর) বিকেলে উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) মো. সালাহউদ্দিন আইয়ূবী এ আদেশ দেন।

তিনি জানান, উপজেলার পাটপাশা-বালিয়া গ্রামের এক স্কুলছাত্রীর বিয়ের আয়োজন চলছিল। খবর পেয়ে উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) মোছা. তাছলিমা আকতারের নির্দেশে পুলিশের একটি টিম নিয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যাই। বাল্যবিয়ের কুফল সম্পর্কে মেয়ের অভিভাবকে অবহিত করা হয়। এরপর বয়স ১৮ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ওই মেয়ের বিয়ে দেবেন না মর্মে মুচলেকা দেন বাবা।

এ বিষয়ে সালথা উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার (ইউএনও) মোছা. তাছলিমা আকতার বলেন, স্কুলছাত্রীর বাল্যবিয়ের খবর পেয়ে উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) মো. সালাহউদ্দিন আইয়ূবীকে ঘটনাস্থলে পাঠিয়ে বিয়েটি বন্ধ করা হয়েছে। এ সময় ৫০ হাজার টাকা অর্থদণ্ড প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

International Disaster Reduction Day was celebrated in Tajumuddin Upazila with the theme "Early warning in disasters is a system for everyone".

Organized by the Tajumuddin Upazila administration and implemented by the Disaster Management Department and CPP, the rally started from the upazila premises on Thursday (October 13) morning and after circumambulating various roads of Shashiganj Bazar, it ended back at the upazila premises.

Present as the chief guests at the rally and discussion were Upazila Executive Officer Maryam Begum, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Selim Mia, CPP Upazila Officer Mazharul Haque, Tajumuddin Press Club President Rafiqul Islam Sadi and other volunteers.

ফরিদপুরের আলফাডাঙ্গা উপজেলায় সাংবাদিক পরিচয়ে চাঁদাবাজির অভিযোগে সাতজনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। এসময় তাদের বহনকারী একটি মাইক্রোবাস, ক্যামেরা, পাঁচটি মোবাইলফোন বিভিন্ন দৈনিক পত্রিকার একাধিক ভুয়া পরিচয়পত্র জব্দ করা হয়।

বৃহস্পতিবার (১৩ অক্টোবর) রাতে পৌরসভার বাকাইল এতিমখানা মাদরাসা এলাকা থেকে আলফাডাঙ্গা থানা পুলিশ তাদেরকে আটক করে।

আটকরা হলেন- রাকিবুল হায়দার, রেজাউল করিম খান, আরাফাত হোসেন, শামীম হোসেন, গাড়ির ড্রাইভার আতাউর রহমান, জীবনী ও সোমা পারভিন। তারা গাজীপুর, নোয়াখালী, জামালপুর ও শেরপুরের বিভিন্ন উপজেলার বাসিন্দা।

পুলিশ ও অভিযোগ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, বুধবার বিকেলে উপজেলার ইউসুবেরবাগ মাদরাসা ও এতিমখানায় নানা অনিয়ম-দুর্নীতির অভিযোগ তুলে মাদরাসার অধ্যক্ষের কাছে আটকরা জানান, তারা সমাজসেবা মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে অডিটের জন্য এসেছেন। এসময় ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ও সাংবাদিক পরিচয়ে বিভিন্ন তথ্য-উপাত্ত চাওয়া হয়। অডিটের বিল বাবদ নগদ তিন হাজার টাকাও নেন। এসময় আরও ৪০ হাজার টাকা দাবি করে তা দুইদিনের মধ্যে বিকাশের মাধ্যমে পরিশোধ করতে বলা হয়।

একই কায়দায় পৌরসভার বাকাইল এতিমখানা মাদরাসায় গিয়ে অধ্যক্ষ হাফেজ মো. ইদ্রিস আলীকে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্ন করে টাকা হাতানোর চেষ্টা করেন আটকরা। মাদরাসা কর্তৃপক্ষের বিষয়টি সন্দেহ হলে তাৎক্ষণিক স্থানীয় লোকজন ও সাংবাদিকদের জানান।

তাদের কাছে থাকা আইডি কার্ড যাচাই করে দেখা যায়, তারা টাকা হাতিয়ে নেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে ঢাকা থেকে আলফাডাঙ্গায় গিয়ে বিভিন্ন মাদরাসায় প্রতারণা করছেন। পরে স্থানীয় লোকজন ও সাংবাদিকরা খবর দিলে রাতে পুলিশ তাদের আটক করে থানায় নিয়ে যায়।

এ ঘটনায় বুধবার রাতে ইউসুবেরবাগ গোরস্থান মাদরাসা ও এতিমখানার অধ্যক্ষ মাওলানা মো. শরফুদ্দিন মোল্যা বাদী হয়ে থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দেন।

বিষয়টির সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে আলফাডাঙ্গা থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. ওয়াহিদুজ্জামান বলেন, বৃহস্পতিবার তাদের আদালতে পাঠানো হবে। আইনি ব্যবস্থা প্রক্রিয়াধীন।

Faridpur Daily –
A mobile court has sentenced a fisherman to one year in prison under Section 5(1) of the Fisheries Conservation Act, 1950, for illegally catching mother Hilsa in the Padma-Arial Khan River of Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur.

After conducting the drive overnight on Wednesday (October 12), Sadarpur Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Ahsan Mahmud conducted a mobile court drive on the Russell River in the morning.

The convicted accused is Bablu Fakir (52), son of the late Moksed Fakir of Hafez Kandi village in Charnasirpur union.

During the operation, the Executive Magistrate seized 5,000 meters of current net and destroyed it by burning it. Upazila Fisheries Officer SM Mahmudul Hasan was present at the time.
