অন্যায়ভাবে জেলা প্রশাসন কতৃক শত বছরের পুরনো বরগুনা পৌর শহরের ভূমি মালিকদের রেকর্ডিয় সম্পত্তি খাস খতিয়নভূক্ত করার অপচেষ্টার প্রতিবাদে গন সংবাদ সম্মেলন করেছেন বরগুনা শহর বৈধ ভূমি রক্ষা আন্দোলন কমিটি। বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের সামনের সড়কে শহরের কয়েকশত ব্যবসায়ী ও ভূমি মালিকরা সংবাদ সম্মেলনে অংশ গ্রহন করেন।

লিখিত বক্তব্যে তারা জানান, দীঘ্য বছর ধরে আমরা বৈধভাবে বসবাস এবং ব্যবসা-বানিজ্য করে আসছি। এর সপক্ষে সরকারের কোষাগারে দাখিলা কেটে খাজনাও দিয়ে আসছি। কিন্তু আকস্মিক ভূমি অফিসের কতিপয় অসৎ কর্মচারীর যোগসাজশে এবং চক্রান্তের অংশ হিসেবে গত কয়েক বছর ধরে আমাদের খাজনা বন্ধ করে দেয় ভূমি অফিস। এরপর সম্প্রতি বৈধ ভূমির মালিকদের নোটিশ দিয়ে এসব ভূমি সরকারী ১ নং খাস খতিয়ানে খতিয়ানভূক্ত অপচেষ্টা শুরু করে।

এসব ভূমি মালিকরা ব্যাংক থেকে সিসি লোন নিয়ে ব্যবসা-বানিজ্য করে জীবীকা নির্বাহ করছেন। সেক্ষেত্রে ভূমির মালিকানা সত্বের প্রমান হিসেবে খাজনার হাল নাগাদ দাখিলা ব্যাংকে জমা দিয়ে লোন নবায়ন করানোর বিধান রয়েছে। কিন্তু খাজনা না নেয়ার কারনে ভূমি মালিকরা লোন নবায়ন করতে পারছেন না। দুই বছর করোনার কারনে ব্যবসা-বানিজ্য মন্দাভাব হবার কারনে ব্যবসায়ীরা নিঃস্ব হয়েচেন। এরপর চলমান যুদ্ধপরিস্থিতির কারনে বিশ্বব্যাপী আরেক দফা মন্দার প্রভাব পড়েছে। আমরা জানতে পেরেছি , সরকার বা প্রশাসনের উচ্চ পর্যায়ের কোনো ধরনের নির্দেশনা ছাড়াই ভূমি অফিসের কতিপয় দুর্নীতিবাজ কর্মচারী বৈধ ভূমি মালিকদের জিম্মি করে অথ লুটপাটের জন্য প্রশাসনকে এই কাজে প্ররোচিত করেছে। রাস্ট্রের সকল আইনে নাগরিকদের সম্পদের নিরাপত্তা , হেফাজত, এবং রক্ষা করা হয়েছে। আবাসস্থল থেকে সরিয়ে দেয়া মৌলিক অধিকার পরিপন্থী যা সংবিধান লংঘন। অতীতে এই শহরবাসী তাদের অধিকার আদায়ের আন্দোলনে পরাজিত হয়নি । কোনো অপশক্তি কখনোই এই মহরবাসীকে পরাজিত করতে পরেনি। এবারেও পারবে না।

সংবাদ সম্মেলন শেষে ১৮ অক্টোবব জেলা প্রশাসক কার্যালয় ঘেরাও, ১৯ অক্টোবর বরগুনা শহর বৈধ ভূমি রক্ষা আন্দোলন কমিটির প্রতিনিধি দলের পক্ষ থেকে বিভাগী কমিশনারের সাথে সাক্ষাৎ

২৩ অক্টোবর সকল ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রেখে বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাব চত্তরে মানববন্ধন ও বিক্ষোভ সমাবেশের ঘোষনা দেন বরগুনা শহর বেধ ভূমি রক্ষা আন্দোলন কমিটি। এবং তারা জানান, ২৩ অক্টোবর তাদের পক্ষ থেকে কঠোর কমসূচী ঘোষনা দেয়া হবে।

নরসিংদীতে আলোচিত হত্যা মামলায় প্রতিপক্ষকে ফাঁসাতে গুলিবিদ্ধ হওয়ার সাজানো নাটকের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।

আজ শনিবার (১৫ আক্টোবর) নরসিংদীর অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (ডিএসবি) মোঃ আল-আমিন এক প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে জানান যে, গত শুক্রবার (১৪ অক্টোবর) নরসিংদী জেলার মাধবদী থানাধীন সজীব মিয়া কর্তৃক গুলিবিদ্ধ হওয়ার ঘটনাটি সম্পূর্ণ মিথ্যা। পূর্ব পরিকল্পিতভাবে প্রতিপক্ষকে ফাঁসাতে তার বন্ধু মামুনকে সাথে নিয়ে গুলিবিদ্ধ হওয়ার ঘটনার নাটক সাজানো হয়। এক পর্যায়ে গত শুক্রবার (১৪ অক্টোবর) দুপুরে মাধবদী থানায় পাঁচদোনা এলাকায় ঘটনা ঘটেছে বলে দাবি করে।একজন ব্যাক্তিকে গুলি করা হয়েছে মর্মে মিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে জেলা পুলিশ নরসিংদীর দৃষ্টিগোচর হয়।

সংবাদ প্রাপ্তির পর তাৎক্ষনিক ভাবে নরসিংদী জেলা পুলিশ ঘটনার বিষয়ে তদন্তে নামে। তদন্তকালে জানা যায় মোঃ সজিব মিয়া (৩০), পিতা-বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মোঃ দুলাল মিয়া, সাং-আসমান্দীর চর (মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আর্দশ গ্রাম), থানা-মাধবদী, জেলা-নরসিংদী উক্ত ঘটনার স্বীকার হইয়াছে। ঘটনা ঘটার পর পরই উক্ত ব্যক্তি প্রথমে নরসিংদী সদর হাসপাতালে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা গ্রহন করে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে যায় এবং সেখানেও চিকিৎসা গ্রহন করে। উক্ত ঘটনার ঘটনাস্থল হিসাবে সজিব পাঁচদোনা বাজারে বাসপট্টি আনিস ট্রেডার্স এর সামনে বলিয়া উল্লেখ করে এবং ঘটনার সময় তার সহিত তার বন্ধু মামুন(২৬), পিতা- মৃত কালাম, সাং- পাথরপাড়া (আঃ আলী মেম্বারের পাশের বাড়ী শ্বশুড় মতি মিয়া), থানা- মাধবদী, জেলা- নরসিংদী উপস্থিত ছিল বলিয়া জানায়।

জেলা পুলিশ প্রাথমিক ভাবে ঘটনাস্থলের আশেপাশে সিসিটিভির ফুটেজ দেখে পর্যালোচনাকালে ঘটনার কোন অস্থিত্ব পায় না। তবে উক্ত সময়ে তাদেরকে স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই হেটে যেতে সিসিটিভির ফুটেজে দেখা যায় এবং আর কাউকেই আশপাশে দেখা যায় নাই। পরবর্তিতে উল্লেখিত সজিব মিয়ার বন্ধু মামুনকে জেলা পুলিশ প্রাথমিকভাবে ঘটনার বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের এক পর্যায়ে সে জানায় প্রকৃত পক্ষে উল্লেখিত মোঃ সজিব মিয়া(৩০), শিবপুর থানার মামলা নং-১(৪)১৫, ধারা-৩০২/৩৪ এর স্বাক্ষী। গত ইং-১১/১০/২২ তারিখ উক্ত মামলার নরসিংদী কোর্টে স্বাক্ষী ছিল। পরবর্তিতে ইং ১২/১০/২২ তারিখে উল্লেখিত সজিব মিয়া মামলার আসামীদের বিরুদ্ধে মাধবদী থানার জিডি নং-৭৬২ তারিখ-১২/১০/২২ ইং দাখিল করে, সেখানে টিটু, মোস্তফা, মাসুম ও পলাশদের বিরুদ্ধে তাকে উক্ত সাক্ষীর কারনে হুমকী প্রদান করা হয়েছে মর্মে জানায় । মূলত এই বিষয়টি সবার কাছে গ্রহনযোগ্য করার জন্য মাধবদী থানাধীন পাঁচদোনা দাসপাড়া সাকিনস্থ প্রফুল্ল এর পুকুরপাড়ের এক কোনায় নির্জন স্থানে সঙ্গীয় বন্ধু মামুনকে নিয়ে পূর্ব পরিকল্পনা মোতাবেক সজিব মিয়া নিজেই তার শরীরের ডান পাশে বুকের উপর ছুরি দিয়ে চিরে কালো এক ধরনের ব*স্তু প্রবেশ করায় এবং শরীরে আরও কয়েকটা স্থানে ছু*রি দিয়ে নিজেই পো*চ দেয় এবং মামুনকে বলে এই অবস্থায় তাকে হাসপাতালে নিয়া যেতে। পরবর্তিতে তারা নরসিংদী সদর হাসপাতালে যায় এবং সেখানে ডাক্তারকে সে গু*লিবিদ্ধ হয়েছে মর্মে উপস্থাপন করলে তাকে পরবর্তিতে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে রেফার করে। ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে তাকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা প্রদান করে তাৎক্ষনিক ছেড়ে দেন। মাধবদী আসলে সজীবকে তার বন্ধু মামুনের বক্তব্য অনুযায়ী মুখোমুখি করলে সে পুরো ঘটনার কথা স্বীকার করে এবং বলে জিডিতে উল্লেখিত আসামীদের শায়েস্তা করা এবং পুলিশের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষন করার জন্য উক্ত ঘটনা সাজিয়েছেন। উল্লেখ্য যে, সজীব মিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে নরসিংদী মডেল থানার মামলা নং-৫৩(৪)২০০৯, জিআর নং-২২৭/২০০৯, ধারা-৩৯৯/৪০২ পেনাল কোড পাওয়া যায়।

এর বাদী রোমান পাঠান বলেন, আমার ভাইকে (আরিফ পাঠান) বরইতলা আদুরী কমপ্লেক্স (ঢাকা-সিলেট) মহাসড়ক এলাকায় প্রকাশ্যে গু*লি করে হত্যা করা হয়। সেদিন ঘটনার প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী ছিলেন সজীব মিয়া। তিনি সেখানকার এক “স” মিলের কর্মচারী ছিলেন। গু*লির শব্দ শুনে ঘটনাস্থলে এসে তিনি আসামীদের দেখতে পান। তাই আরিফ হ*ত্যা মামলায় তাকে প্রধান সাক্ষী করা হয়েছিল।

তিনি আরও বলেন, আসামী টিটু, মাসুদ ও পলাশ বর্তমানে আদালত থেকে জামিনে আছেন। স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, ২০১৫ সালের ১ এপ্রিল শিবপুর উপজেলার পুটিয়া ইউনিয়নের ৭ নং ওয়ার্ড মেম্বার আরিফ হোসেন পাঠান তার নিজ এলাকা কারারচর (বরইতলা) আদুরী কমপ্লেক্সের সামনে ঢাকা-সিলেট মহাসড়কের পাশে টিটু, মোস্তফা, মাসুদ, পলাশ ওরফে পলাশ, আনোয়ার গং প্রকাশ্যে দিবালোকে এলোপাতাড়ি গু*লিতে নি*হত হন। নি*হত আরিফ পাঠান স্থানীয় জনপ্রতিনিধি হওয়ায় জনসাধারণের ব্যাপক জনপ্রিয়তা অর্জন করেন। তার মৃ*ত্যুর খবরে ওইসময় জনসাধারণ ক্ষোভে রাস্তায় নেমে ঢাকা-সিলেট মহাসড়ক বন্ধ করে প্রতিবাদ করে। ছিল। পরে সংবাদটি ব্যাপকভাবে প্রচারিত হলে হ*ত্যাটি আলোচিত হত্যাকান্ডে রুপ নেয়। পরদিন তার ছোট ভাই রোমান পাঠান বাদী হয়ে শিবপুর থানায় একটি হ*ত্যা মামলা দায়ের করেন। ওই মামলায় অন্যতম সাক্ষী করা হয় সজিব মিয়াকে।

A witness was injured in the shooting of the accused while testifying in a murder case in Narsingdi. The incident took place on Friday (October 14) afternoon in Panchdona of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. The injured Sajib Mia (30) is the son of Dulal Mia of Asmandirchar area of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. He was one of the witnesses in the controversial Arif Pathan murder case in Shibpur. The relatives of the injured said that Sajib was going to the mosque for Friday prayers.
