On the Prime Minister's birthday; Development drawing competition in Lakshmipur

On the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, 15 winners of the Lakshmipur Development Drawing Competition have been awarded.

Former district Chhatra League president and Jubo League leader Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohel organized this event at Daspara High School in the upazila on Thursday (September 29) afternoon. Earlier, fruit tree saplings were distributed among more than a hundred students of the school.

The meeting was presided over by the school management committee president Morshedul Amin Babu and was attended by headmaster Mohammad Imam Hossain, Ramganj municipal councilor Kamrul Hasan Faisal Mal, Chhatra League leader Abdur Razzak, Zahid Hasan Shuvo and Sohel Chowkia, among others.

Sabrina Yasmin, a student of class 10, won first place for drawing a picture of Bangabandhu's March 7 speech. Samia Tasneem, a student of class 6, and Nusrat Jahan, a student of class 7, were awarded for drawing similar pictures.

Hafifa Jahan of class 10, Fahmida Akhter of class 9, Afrin Sultana of class 8 and Jannatul Nur Jinia of class 6 were awarded for drawing a picture of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In addition, 8 other winners were awarded for drawing the Padma Bridge, Karnaphuli Tunnel and the Jubo League flag.

At the end of the discussion, the guests presented their awards.

Jubo League leader Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohel said, "Bangabandhu is the great architect of independence. Sheikh Hasina is the leader of Bangladesh's liberation. She is the leader of development. Everyone should know about their biographies. There is a lot to learn from their biographies."




5 teenage gang members arrested in Narsingdi kidnapping case

নরসিংদীর পলাশে মুক্তিপণ আদায়ের উদ্দেশ্যে এক ছাত্রীসহ দুই শিক্ষার্থীকে অপহরণ করে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের ৫ সদস্যকে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ।

বৃহস্পতিবার (২৯ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুপুরে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এ তথ্য জানান অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (ডিএসবি) মো. আল আমিন।

এর আগে, বুধবার (২৮ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেলে নরসিংদী জেলার পলাশ উপজেলার ইছাখালী দাখিল মাদ্রাসার পরীক্ষা কেন্দ্র থেকে বের হওয়ার পর দাখিল পরীক্ষার্থী সিফাত (১৭) ও তার বন্ধু ইতি আক্তার (১৬) কে অপহরণের সময় তাদের গ্রেফতার করা হয়। গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলো- নরসিংদী জেলার পলাশ উপজেলার ইছাখালী (পূর্বপাড়া) এলাকার তামজিদ মিয়া, জয়পুরা এলাকার মানিক মুখা, নাঈম মৃধা ,খাসহাওলা এলাকার আফসার মিয়া ও শিবপুর থানার দক্ষিণ সাধারচর এলাকার তৈয়বুর করিম। অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (ডিএসবি) মো. আল আমিন জানান, দাখিল পরীক্ষা শেষে ইছাখালী দাখিল মাদ্রাসা পরীক্ষা কেন্দ্র থেকে বের হয়ে কথা বলছিলেন দুই শিক্ষার্থী সিফাত ও ইতি। এ সময় কিশোর গ্যাং এর ৫ সদস্য তাদের দুজনকে উদ্দেশ্য করে অশ্লীল ভাষায় কথা বলে। এ সময় তারা জোরপূর্বক ওই দুই শিক্ষার্থীর আপত্তিকর ছবি তুলে ইন্টারনেটে ছড়িয়ে দেয়ার হুমকি দিয়ে ৫ হাজার টাকা দাবি করে এবং নগদ টাকা, ব্যবহৃত মোবাইল ফোন ও বই ছিনিয়ে নেয়। পরে মুক্তিপণ আদায়ের উদ্দেশ্যে সিফাতকে মোটর সাইকেলে ও ইতি আক্তারকে বিভাটেকে উঠিয়ে অজ্ঞাত স্থানে নিয়ে যেতে থাকে।

তিনি আরও জানান, পলাশ থানাধীন সরকারচর মোড়ে গজারিয়া ইউনিয়ন বিট পুলিশের চেকপোস্টে পৌঁছলে দুই শিক্ষার্থীকে উদ্ধার ও অভিযুক্ত ৫ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। এ সময় তাদের ব্যবহৃত মোটর সাইকেলটি জব্দ ও পরীক্ষার্থীদের নিকট থেকে ছিনিয়ে নেয়া মোবাইল ফোন উদ্ধার করা হয়। এ ঘটনায় ভুক্তভোগী সিফাতের বাবা বাদী হয়ে থানায় মামলা করেছেন। আসামিদের আদালতে পাঠানোর প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।

Disabled person's allowance money goes to UP member's son in Barguna; husband and wife form human chain

Disabled Abul Bashar, son of deceased Abul Hossain of Talitabunita village of Bukabunita Uni of Bukabuni in Barguna, Barguna, was a disabled allowance of Abul Bashar, son of Ultarard, UP member and panel chairman of the ORDARM, son of Rana, and his wife and 6-year-old child.

Amena Begum, wife of speech-impaired Abul Bashar, said, "My husband is a speech impaired Abul Bashar's handicapped card office from me. SSC question leak; Central Secretary remanded for 3 days

The court granted a three-day remand for questioning the headmaster and center secretary of Lutfar Rahman, the headmaster and center secretary of the SSC examination, the incident of the question leakage of the question leak in Bhurungamari of Kugram.

Sheikh Hasina to visit Japan in the last week of November

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Japan in the last week of November this year, and Bangabandhu will visit the country between November 23 and 30.

The decision was announced on Wednesday (September 28) from an inter-ministerial meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is known that the Prime Minister's visit to Japan is over in the last seven days of November this year. The visit is going to be between 23 and 30 November, although the final date has not been fixed yet, the two countries are working on the date of the visit of the head of government and other incidental issues.

Officials have learned that the Prime Minister is going on a visit to Tokyo in the golden year of Bangladesh-Japan diplomatic relations. The two countries are preparing for a memorandum of understanding and agreement on the two countries during Sheikh Hasina's visit, and Bangladesh will want more Japanese investment during the visit.

On the other hand, Tokyo will want Dhaka to support Dhaka in the Indo-Pacific region strategy vision, but Dhaka does not want to be a part of the military or any other initiative outside the economic or development initiative of this strategy.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last visited Japan three years ago in 2019.

4 arrested, including woman, in Narsingdi Bivatek driver murder case

District detective police have arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with the murder and robbery of a Bivatek driver named Bijoy Mia (26) in Raipura, Narsingdi. They were arrested by conducting raids in various areas of Raipura within 48 hours of the murder case, unraveling the mystery and collecting evidence.

 (September 28) Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md. Al-Amin gave this information at a press conference at the office of the Narsingdi Superintendent of Police on Wednesday afternoon. The arrested accused are - Md. Rubel Mia (31), son of Dhan Mia of Balbpur area of Raipura upazila of Narsingdi, Kausar (28), son of Moslem Mia of Birgaon Purbapara, Alal Mia (35), son of Md. Solaiman, Rubia Begum (45), wife of Md. Abdur Rahim of Birgaon Kandapara.

Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md. Al-Amin said in a press conference that on Saturday afternoon, 24th (September), Bijoy Mia left Basail's house to run a Bivatek. Since then, he has been missing along with Bivatek. Later, on Sunday afternoon, at around 3:30 pm, Bijoy Mia was found tied to a cement pole with a nylon rope tied around his neck inside a banana plantation on the south side of the Raipura to Narsingdi paved road in Mahmudnagar area of Raipura. In this incident, the mother of the deceased, Minara Begum, filed a murder case with Raipura Police Station as the plaintiff. Later, the detective police launched a shadow investigation into the incident and today, 28th (September), based on secret information, conducted a separate operation and arrested Rubel Mia from the Marjal area and Kausar and Alal Mia from Nilaksha, who were involved in the case.

According to the arrestees, a body of the stolen Bivatek, four batteries, four wheels and various parts of the Bivatek, and the mobile set used by Bijoy Mia were recovered from the house of Rubia Begum, the aunt of Rubel and Alal Mia. Further legal action against the arrested persons is under process.
