পুঁথিপাঠ, লোকজ সঙ্গীত ও বাশিঁর সূরের মূর্ছনায় কবিতাবৃত্তির মধ্য দিয়ে বরগুনা মাসব্যাপি শিশু আনন্দ মেলা শুরু হয়েছে। বুধবার বিকেলে মেলার শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন বরগুনা -১ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য অ্যাডভোকেট ধীরেন্দ্র দেবনাথ শমভু এমপি।

করোনা অতিক্রান্ত শিশুদের বিনোদন ও বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের চতুর্থ তলায় অডিটোরিয়াম নির্মাণের লক্ষে এ মেলার আয়োজন করেছে ঐতিহ্যবাহি বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাব।

উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ বরগুনার জেলা প্রশাসক মোঃ হাবিবুর রহমান,দৈনিক বিপ্লবী বাংলাদেশ এর প্রকাশক ও সম্পাদক বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সাংবাদিক, লেখক এম নুরুল আলম ফরিদ, উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মনিরুল ইসলাম।

বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সাংবাদিক এম নুরুল আলম ফরিদ বলেন, বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের এই শিশু আনন্দ মেলা আমাদের কাছে একটা মহৎ উদ্যোগ মনে হচ্ছে। সংস্কৃতি ধরে রাখতে আমাদের শুধু সাংবাদিকরা নায় সকলকে এগিয়ে আসতে হবে। এবং এভাবে শিশুদের মেধা বিকাশ ঘটানের জন্য শিশু আনন্দ মেলার বেশি বেশি আয়োজন করতে হবে। এরপর তিনি মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় কালীন প্রকাশিত নিউজ গুলো সংরক্ষণ করে এলবাম বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের সভাপতি ও সাধারণ সম্পাদকের হাতে তুলে দেন।

বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অ্যাডভোকেট সোহেল হাফিজ বলেন, শিশুদের বিনোদনের পাশাপাশি মাসব্যাপি আমাদের আয়োজনে মুলত লোকজ সংস্কৃতি তুলে ধরা হবে। বাউল ও জারি সারি ও পালাগান, যাদু, কৌতুক অভিনয়, মঞ্চ নাটকসহ হারিয়ে যাওয়া নানা ধরণের লোকজ সংস্কৃতির তুলে ধরবো। আমরা আশা করি ভিন্নধর্মী এমন মেলা সবার মাঝে সাড়া ফেলবে।

বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের সভাপতি অ্যাডভোকেট সঞ্জীব দাস বলেন, বরগুনায় শিশুদের বিনোদনের জন্য কোনো পার্ক নেই। করোনার মধ্যে প্রায় তিনবছর শিশুরা স্কুলেও যেতে পারেনি। আমরা করোনা অতিক্রান্ত শিশুদের বিনোদনের জন্য এ মেলার আয়োজন করেছি। এর পাশাপাশি মেলার আয়ের টাকায় বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবের চতুর্থ তলায় অডিটোরিয়াম নির্মান করা হবে। আমরা জেলা প্রশাসন, জেলা পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় জনপ্রতিনিধিদের সার্বিক সহায়তায় মেলাটি আয়োজন করেছি।

প্রধান অতিথি বরগুনা এক আসনের সংসদ সদস্য এ্যাড. ধীরেন্দ্র দেবনাথ শম্ভু বলেন, বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাব আয়োজিত এই শিশু আনন্দ মেলাকে আমি সাধুবাদ ও ধন্যবাদ জানাই। কারণ শিশুদের জন্য এরকম একটি সৃজনশীল উদ্যোগ উপহার দেওয়ার জন্য। বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাব বিগত দিন থেকেই তারা বিভিন্ন সামাজিক উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের সাথে সকলের সাথে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে করে আসছেন। এবং ভবিষ্যতেও অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে আমরা আশাবাদী। তাই আজকেই শুভ উদ্বোধনে বরগুনা প্রেসক্লাবকে ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি। আশা করছি তারা সুন্দর সুষ্ঠুভাবে সকলের সহোযোগিতায় এই মাসব্যাপী শিশু আনন্দ মেলা টি সবাইকে উপহার দিতে পারবেন।

District detective police have arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with the murder and robbery of a Bivatek driver named Bijoy Mia (26) in Raipura, Narsingdi. Solaiman, Rubia Begum (45), wife of Md. Abdur Rahim of Birgaon Kandapara.

Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md. Al-Amin said in a press conference that on Saturday afternoon, 24th (September), Bijoy Mia left Basail's house to run a Bivatek. Since then, he has been missing along with Bivatek. Later, on Sunday afternoon, at around 3:30 pm, Bijoy Mia was found tied to a cement pole with a nylon rope tied around his neck inside a banana plantation on the south side of the Raipura to Narsingdi paved road in Mahmudnagar area of Raipura. In this incident, the mother of the deceased, Minara Begum, filed a murder case with Raipura Police Station as the plaintiff. Later, the detective police launched a shadow investigation into the incident and today, 28th (September), based on secret information, conducted a separate operation and arrested Rubel Mia from the Marjal area and Kausar and Alal Mia from Nilaksha, who were involved in the case.

According to the arrestees, a body of the stolen Bivatek, four batteries, four wheels and various parts of the Bivatek, and the mobile set used by Bijoy Mia were recovered from the house of Rubia Begum, the aunt of Rubel and Alal Mia. Further legal action against the arrested persons is under process.
