মুন্সীগঞ্জে পুলিশের সঙ্গে বিএনপি নেতা-কর্মীদের সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।

বুধবার (২১ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেল সাড়ে ৩টার দিকে শহরের মুক্তারপুরে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে পুলিশ-সাংবাদিকসহ অন্তত ৩০ জন আহত হয়েছেন।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, কেন্দ্রীয় কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে সদর উপজেলা, মুন্সীগঞ্জ শহর ও মিরকাদিম পৌর বিএনপি শহরের মুক্তারপুর এলাকার পুরাতন ফেরিঘাট এলাকায় বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও সমাবেশের আয়োজন করে। দুপুর আড়াইটা থেকে মুক্তারপুর এলাকার আশপাশে বিএনপি নেতা-কর্মীরা জড়ো হতে থাকে। পুলিশও অবস্থান নেয় আগে থেকেই। বিকেল সাড়ে ৩টার দিকে বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে বিএনপি নেতাকর্মীরা খণ্ড খণ্ড মিছিল নিয়ে পুরাতন ফেরিঘাট এলাকায় আসতে শুরু করে।

কর্মসূচি থেকে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল নিয়ে এগোতে চাইলে পুলিশ বিএনপির নেতা-কর্মীদের বাধা দেয়। এ সময় তারা পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে ইটপাটকেল ছুড়তে শুরু করে। পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে পুলিশও রাবার বুলেট ও টিয়ার শেল নিক্ষেপ করে। ঘটনাস্থলে একটি মোটরসাইকেলে আগুন দেওয়া হয়।

মুন্সীগঞ্জ সদর থানা পুলিশের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) তারিকুজ্জামান জানান, অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। বর্তমানে সেখানে পুলিশ মোতায়েন রয়েছে।

ঝিনাইদহে এক ভূয়া দন্ত্য চিকিৎসককে ১৫ দিনের বিনাশ্রম কারাদণ্ড দেন ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত।

আজ বুধবার (২১ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুপুরে শহরের এইচ এস এস সড়কে অভিযান চালিয়ে এ দণ্ডাদেশ প্রদান করেন জেলা প্রশাসনের নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট এস এম নুরুন্নবী।

তিনি বলেন, এইচ এস এস সড়কের সোনালী ব্যাংকের পশ্চিম পার্শে দি ওরাল ডেন্টাল এন্ড ডেন্টিস্ট কেয়ারে বিপ্লব কুমার দাস নামের এক ভূয়া চিকিৎসক দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সাধারণ মানুষকে চিকিৎসা দিয়ে আসছে। এমন খবরে স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের সহযোগিতায় সেখানে অভিযান চালানো হয়।

সেসময় অননুমোদিতভাবে এলোপ্যাথি চিকিৎসা ও অনুমোদনহীন চিকিৎসা দেওয়ার অপরাধে বিপ্লব কুমার দাসকে ১৫ দিনের বিনাশ্রম কারাদণ্ড ও ১ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়।  অভিযানে সদর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য  ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কার্যালয়ের মেডিকেল অফিসার ডা. ফারহানা ইয়াসমিনসহ পুলিশ সদস্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

মরক্কো ও কাতার থেকে মোট ৯০ হাজার টন টিএসপি ও ইউরিয়া সার ক্রয় করবে সরকার। এর মধ্যে টিএসপি ৩০ হাজার টন ও ইউরিয়া ৬০ হাজার টন। এ পরিমাণ সার কিনতে খরচ ধরা হয়েছে ৬৩৭ কোটি ২৩ লাখ ৫২ হাজার ৫০২ টাকা।

আজ বুধবার (২১ সেপ্টেম্বর) অর্থমন্ত্রী আ হ ম মুস্তফা কামালের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত সরকারি ক্রয়-সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটির বৈঠকে এ অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়। বৈঠকটি ভার্চুয়ালি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বৈঠক শেষে সভার সিদ্ধান্ত জানান মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগের অতিরিক্ত সচিব মো. আব্দুল বারিক।

তিনি বলেন, অর্থমন্ত্রীর সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত অর্থনৈতিক বিষয়-সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটির বৈঠকে দুটি এবং সরকারি ক্রয়-সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটির বৈঠকে ১১টি প্রস্তাব উপস্থাপন করা হয়।

এর মধ্যে অর্থনৈতিক বিষয়-সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটিতে দুটি এবং সরকারি ক্রয়-সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটির বৈঠকে ১০টি প্রস্তাব অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়। অনুমোদন দেওয়া প্রস্তাবগুলোর জন্য মোট অর্থের পরিমাণ ধরা হয়েছে ১ হাজার ৯০৩ কোটি ৮৭ লাখ ১ হাজার ৯২৩ টাকা।

মো. আব্দুল বারিক জানান, কৃষি মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীন বাংলাদেশ কৃষি উন্নয়ন করপোরেশনের (বিএডিসি) মাধ্যমে মরক্কোর ওসিপি, এসএ থেকে ২২১ কোটি ৫৩ লাখ ৫০ হাজার ৩৫৭ টাকায় ৩০ হাজার টন টিএসপি সার আমদানির অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে।
