3 teenagers die in motorcycle accident in Barguna

Three teenagers died on the spot after their motorcycle lost control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road in Betagi, Barguna. The incident took place around 11:30 pm on Thursday in the Khanerhat area of the Mokamia-Betagi road.

Among the three deceased teenagers, Yasin Arafat (13), son of Md. Kabir of Kazirabad Union, and Mohammad Rabbi (16), son of Rafiq Mridha of Mokamia Union, have been identified, but the identity of another teenager has not been found till the time of writing this report.

Betagi Police Station said that three teenage friends lost control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road in Khanerhat area while returning home from a mahfil on the occasion of the death anniversary of the late Hanchan Uddin (RA) at Mokamia Fazil Madrasa Maidan in the upazila. Police rescued the three teenagers from the scene and took them to Betagi Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty declared all three teenagers dead.

Betagi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shah Alam Howlader said, "After hearing about the incident, the police recovered the motorcycle from the scene. However, the three teenagers died before being brought to the hospital," said the doctor on duty.




Former Prime Minister Imran Khan shot dead

Case filed for attempted rape of teenager in Faridpur

A case has been filed against five people for allegedly attempting and aiding the forcible rape of a teenage girl in Charbhadrasan, Faridpur.
