কেন্দ্রীয় নেতাদের নির্দেশনায় সম্মেলনের সব ধরনের প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করতে কাজ করছে জেলা আওয়ামীলীগ। সম্মেলনের প্যান্ডেল তৈরীর কাজ প্রায় সম্পন্নের পথে। এরই মধ্যে সম্মেলন স্থল পরিদর্শন করেছেন শিল্পমন্ত্রী এডভোকেট নূরুল মজিদ মাহমুদ হুমায়ুন এমপি সহ সম্মেলন প্রস্তুতি কমিটির দায়িত্ব প্রাপ্ত নেতৃবৃন্দ। এসময় শিল্প মন্ত্রী বলেন, সম্মেলন অত্যন্ত গর্জিয়াস, জাঁকজমকপূর্ণ, সুন্দর, সফল ও সার্থক করতে সর্বাত্মক প্রস্তুতি আমরা নিচ্ছি। দীর্ঘ সাড়ে সাত বছর পর আগামীকাল ১৭ই সেপ্টেম্বর দুপুর ২টায় নরসিংদী জেলা মুছলেহ উদ্দিন ভূইয়া স্টেডিয়াম মাঠে এ সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে। জেলার প্রবেশ মুখ ঢাকা-সিলেট মহাসড়কে মাধবদীর অদুরে বাঘবাড়ী থেকে নরসিংদী শহর ছেয়ে গেছে পদ প্রত্যাশী নেতা ও কর্মীদের পোষ্টার, ব্যানার ও ফেষ্টুনে। বিভিন্ন নেতা কর্মীর শুভেচ্ছা সম্বলিত তোরণে পরিণত হয়েছে নরসিংদী শহর। নরসিংদী শহরতলী শাহেপ্রতাপ মোড় থেকে জেলা প্রশাসকের কার্যালয় হয়ে ব্রাক্ষ্মনদী মোড়, আরশীনগর, পুরাতন বাসস্ট্যান্ড পর্যন্ত ৪ কিঃমিঃ সড়ক জুড়ে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে চল্লিশটির মত তোরণ। সম্মেলনসহ আনাচে কানাচে বিশালাকারে ব্যানার, ফেষ্টুন, পোষ্টারে ছেয়ে গেছে নরসিংদী শহর। শহরের প্রধান প্রধান সড়ক থেকে অলিগলি সবখানেই ব্যানার,ফেষ্টুনে ঢেকে গেছে। ব্যাপক আয়োজনে জেলা জুড়ে বিরাজ করছে উৎসবমূখর পরিবেশ। সম্মেলনকে ঘিরে আওয়ামীলীগ ও সহযোগী সংগঠনের নেতা কর্মীদের মাঝে ফিরছে প্রান চাঞ্চল্য। সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমেও সরব আছেন দলীয় নেতা কর্মীরা। সম্মেলনে উদ্বোধক হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকার কথা রয়েছে আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি মন্ডলীর সদস্য কৃষি মন্ত্রী ডঃ আব্দুর রাজ্জাক, এবং প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন আওয়ামীলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সড়ক ও সেতু মন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের এমপি। সেই সাথে প্রধান বক্তার বক্তব্য রাখার কথা রয়েছে আওয়ামীলীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মির্জা আজম এমপি। সম্মেলনে সভাপতিত্ব করবেন নরসিংদী জেলা আওয়ামীলীগের ভারপ্রাপ্ত সভাপতি জি এম তালেব হোসেন।
