The police arrested his girlfriend Bushra on Thursday morning (November 10) from his home in Rampura in the capital on Thursday morning.

মামলার আসামী আব্দুল হান্নান বলেন, স্থানীয় প্রতারক ইব্রাহিম মিরণের কাছে পাওনা টাকা চাওয়ায় পল্লী চিকিৎসক আব্দুল হান্নান (৩৪) পিতা মৃত নুরল হুদা, বুলবুল আসাদ নুরুল্লা (৪২) পিতা মৃত হাবিব উল্লাহ, আব্দুর রহমান (২২) পিতা সোহরাব উদ্দিন, মো.আলমগীর (৫৫) পিতা মৃত গোলাম রহমান, এমরান হোসেন পাটোয়ারী (৩৫)পিতা মো.আলমগীর এদের তার মামলায় স্বাক্ষী দেয়ায় মিথ্যা চাঁদাবাজি মামলায় দিয়ে হয়রানি করছে। এরা সবাই রামগতি উপজেলার চর রমিজ ইউপি’র চর গোসাই গ্রামের বাসিন্দা।

ভুক্তভোগী নুরুল্লা, আলমগীর, এমরান বলেন, স্থানীয় মো. ইব্রাহিম মিরণ নামে ব্যক্তি তাদের বিভিন্নভাবে হামলা-মামলা, ভয়-ভীতি দেখাচ্ছে এবং জেলা আদালতে চাঁদাবাজির মামলা দিয়ে তাদের হয়রানি করছে। মামলার বাদি মিরণে কাছে হান্নান টাকা পাবে। হান্নান চেয়ারম্যান পরিষদে তার বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের স্বাক্ষী দিয়ে অভিযোগ দায়ের করেন। আমরা যেন স্বাক্ষী দিতে না পারি যার জন্য আমাদের আসামী করে মিথ্যা, বানোয়াট চাঁদাবাজি মামলায় ফাঁসানো হচ্ছে।

ভুক্তভোগী আব্দুল হানান বলেন, মিরণ এবং তার বাড়ি পাশাপাশি থাকায় ৪৮ শতক জমি ৬ লক্ষ ষাট হাজার টাকা মূল্যে নির্ধারণে ২ লক্ষ টাকা স্বাক্ষীগণের মোকাবেলা মিরণকে বায়না করেন। জমির কাগজপত্রে ঝামেলা থাকায় জমি রেজিস্ট্রি দিতে সমস্যা করে মিরণ। দীর্ঘদিন পর জমির বায়না বাবত ২ লক্ষ টাকা ফেরত চাইলে বিভিন্ন তালবাহানা শুরু করে মিরণ। টাকা চাইলে বিভিন্ন ধরণের হুমকি-ধমকি দেয়। আমি সাধারণ মানুষ, পল্লী চিকিৎসা করে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করি। পাওনা টাকা আদায়ের জন্য স্থানীয় চর রমিজ ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যানের নিকট তার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ দেই। মিরণ অভিযোগ তোয়াক্কা না করে জেলা জজ আদালতে আমি এবং অভিযোগে সাক্ষীদের বিরুদ্ধে চাঁদাবাজির মিথ্যা মামলা দেয়। সাক্ষীরা যেন সঠিক তথ্য আদালতে উপস্থাপন করতে না পারে।এজন্য সাক্ষীদের আসামী করেন মিরণ। এছাড়াও মিরণ এক এক জায়গায় তার এক এক রকম নাম লিখেন ও স্বাক্ষর করেন যথেষ্ট প্রমান রয়েছে। সে সম্পূর্ণ প্রতারক..।

মামলার অন্য আসামী আব্দুর রহমান বলেন, তিনি বাদি ইব্রাহিম মিরণের কাছে জমির বায়না বাবত টাকা পাবে। টাকা দিচ্ছে না। উল্টো তার বিরুদ্ধে চাঁদাবাজির মামলা দেয়া হয়।

স্থানীয়দের সাথে আলাপে অনেকেই জানান, মামলার বাদি ও আসামীদের মধ্যে জমির সংকান্ত লেনদেন চলছিল। হঠাৎ জমির টাকা নিয়ে এদের মধ্যে বিরোধ শুরু হয়। পরোক্ষণে টাকা লেনদেন নিয়ে বিরোধগুলো প্রখোর আকার ধারণ করে থানা ও আদালত পর্যন্ত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে।

মিরণের চাদাঁবাজির মামলায় স্বাক্ষীগণের সাথে আলাপকালে জানা যায়, বাদি মিরণের চাদাঁবাজির মামলা সম্পর্কে তারা কিছুই জানেন না। তবে তাদের মধ্যে জমি সংকান্ত টাকা লেনদেন ছিল। মিরণ স্থানীয়ভাবে জমি বেচা-বিক্রি করতেন। জমি কেনা-বেচা সূত্রে লেনদেন হয় এবং জমির টাকার লাভ-ক্ষতির হিসেবে তাদের সম্পর্কে বেগাত ঘটে।

বাদি মো.ইব্রাহিম মিরণের সাথে ফোনে একাধিক বার যোগাযোগ করার চেষ্টা করেও তাকে পাওয়া যায়নি।

উপজেলার চর রমিজ ইউপি’র চেয়ারম্যান মোজাহিদুল ইসলাম দিদার বলেন, জমির টাকা সংকান্ত বিষয়ের আব্দুল হান্নান ইউনিয়ন পরিষদে মিরণকে বিবাদী করে অভিযোগ দায়ের করেন। মিরণকে নোটিশ প্রধান করে বিষয়টি তদন্ত করতে সময় দেয়া হয়। কিন্তু পরোক্ষণে মিরণ স্থানীয় ইউপি পরিষদকে তোয়াক্কা না করে অভিযোগটি জেলা আদালতে নিয়ে যায়। এখানে মিরণসহ তাদের কিছু লোক জমির দালালী করে। এদের মধ্যে টাকার ভাগাভাগিতে সমস্যা হয়। মিরণ এবং মিজান প্রাথমিক তদন্তে হান্নানের টাকা আত্মসাৎ করে স্থানীয় সাক্ষীরা জানান।

Three fishermen were shot dead in a late-night attack by pirates on the Meghna River in Ramgati, Lakshmipur. During this, the pirates took away a fisherman named Mohiuddin (35).

The incident took place in the river on the west side of Char Abdullah Union at around 12:20 am on Tuesday (November 8). Fishermen rescued them at around 4 am and admitted them to the hospital.

The injured are Md. Abbas Majhi (28), Md. Faruk (35) and Md. Yusuf (27). Abbas is the son of Tosir Ahmed of Charfalkon area of Kamalnagar upazila, Yusuf is the son of Md. Yunus of Paschim Charkalakopa village of Ramgati and Faruk is the son of Alamgir Farazi of Subarna Char in Noakhali.

The missing Mohiuddin is the son of Nanu Faraji of Subarnachar area of Noakhali.

Injured Abbas Majhi said, "We were preparing to cast nets in the river. Suddenly, pirates fired at our boat from a distance. Three of us were shot. The pirates took our colleague Mohiuddin away."

Md. Liton, a fishmonger at Ludhua Fish Ghat in Kamalnagar, said that the robbery incident took place on Abbas Majhi's boat at midnight. After receiving the news, we informed Kamalnagar Upazila Fisheries Officer Abdul Kuddus and Alexander Coast Guard Contingent Commander (CC). The police said that the Coast Guard would go if the administration went. After informing them, the fishmongers themselves took the risk and rescued the injured fishermen from the spot.

নেত্রকোণার দুর্গাপুরে দরিদ্র মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী শিলা হাজং এর পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে নেত্রকোনা জেলা প্রশাসন। রোববার নেত্রকোণা জেলার জেলা প্রশাসক অঞ্জনা খান মজলিশ এই শিক্ষার্থীকে তার কার্যালয়ে এনে এক লক্ষ পঁচিশ হাজার টাকা তুলে দেন।

কিছুদিন আগে একটি দৈনিকে “তিন বছরের বেতন ও হোস্টেল ভাড়ার প্রায় দেড় লাখ টাকা পরিশোধ করতে না পারায় পরীক্ষায় বসা অনিশ্চিত শিক্ষার্থীর” – এমন সংবাদ প্রকাশের পর বিষয়টি নজরে আসে নেত্রকোণার জেলা প্রশাসকের। এরপর তিনি দুর্গাপুর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মোঃ রাজীব-উল-আহসান এর মাধ্যমে ওই শিক্ষার্থীর সার্বিক খবর নেন।

জানা গেছে,শিলা হাজং ময়মনসিংহের ব্রাহ্ম পল্লি এলাকার স্কুলার নার্সিং ইনস্টিটিউশনের শিক্ষার্থী । তার বাড়ি দুর্গাপুরের কুল্লাগড়া ইউনিয়নে। শিলার বড় ভাই পোশাক শ্রমিক, রঘুনাথ হাজং, তিনি জানান,তিনি পোশাক কারখানায় চাকরি করে যে টাকা পান তা দিয়ে তার অসুস্থ মায়ের চিকিৎসা আর সংসারের ভরণপোষণ কোনভাবে চলে। কিন্তু একমাত্র বোন শিলাকে উচ্চশিক্ষিত করার ইচ্ছা তার। রঘুনাথ বলেন, তার বাবা রবীন্দ্র হাজং দিনমজুরি করে যে সামান্য অর্থ উপার্জন করেন তাতে সংসারের ব্যয়ভার বহন করা ও শিলার পড়াশোনার খরচ জোগানো সম্ভব নয়। তাই নার্সিং ইনস্টিটিউটে এতো বড় অঙ্কের বকেয়া পড়ে গিয়েছিলো। তবে সম্মানিত জেলা প্রশাসক যে সহযোগিতা করেছেন তাতে শিলার পড়াশোনায় আর কোন বাধা রইলো না। আমরা তার প্রতি চিরকৃতজ্ঞ।
