The arrested were sent to court this afternoon.<br \/>\nEarlier on Wednesday night, Anwara Begum, the mother of the child Sohel, who was tortured, filed a case with Chandraganj Police Station. The accused were arrested that night, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Chandraganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Moktar Hossain said that a case has been registered after investigating the matter of torture of child laborers and finding out the truth. Two people have been arrested and sent to court, the OC said.<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, the child Sohel, son of Shahidul Hossain, a resident of Kusakhali in Sadar Upazila, was working as a laborer at Babul&#039;s tea shop in Mandari Bazar. Last Tuesday, around 10 am, while coming from Babul&#039;s house near Mandari Bazar to the shop, he defecated in a garden. For this, Zabiulya and Kalu Patwari caught him, tied him to a tree and beat him severely with sticks and brooms.
