The ruling Awami League has outlined 21 promises in its election manifesto for the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n

Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina began reading the manifesto at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital at 10:25 am today (Tuesday, December 18).
\nThe goals and commitments outlined by the Awami League in its manifesto titled 'Bangladesh on the Path to Prosperity' are:<\/p>\n

1. Expansion of modern urban facilities in every village<\/p>\n

2. Transforming the youth into a skilled workforce and ensuring employment<\/p>\n

3. Adopt a zero tolerance policy against corruption<\/p>\n

4. Women's empowerment, gender equality and child welfare<\/p>\n

5. Ensuring nutritious and safe food<\/p>\n

6. Eradication of terrorism, militancy, communalism and drugs<\/p>\n

7. Fast and quality implementation of mega projects<\/p>\n

8. Strengthening democracy and the rule of law<\/p>\n

9. Poverty eradication<\/p>\n

10. Improving the quality of education at all levels<\/p>\n

11. Ensuring quality healthcare for all<\/p>\n
