Final draft of OTT policy in High Court

 Over the Top (OTT) has filed a final scrutiny of the policy on the publication of content based on platform-based content (BTRC).

However, to update the policy of the Ministry of Information, the next order will be fixed on November 29 for the next order.

The High Court bench of Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Raziq Al Jalil gave this order on Wednesday (October 19).

The lawyer, who filed for the writ petitioner, Tanveer Ahmed, who was on behalf of BTRC, said that BTRC has filed a policy of the BTRC.

Deputy Attorney General Tushar Kanti Rata was for the state.

At the same time, he also wanted to know why the policy formulation will not be given for monitoring various OTT-based platform platforms.

Eight people concerned, including Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Department, Information Secretary, Culture Secretary and BTRC Chairman, have been asked to respond to the ruling, followed by BTRC and a committee of 8 members to make a Khasya policy. Later, the BTRC filed the Khasa policy in the court.
