Working towards a rabies-free world: Sheikh Hasina
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government is in the country He said that he has been taking and implementing various programs since 2009 to reach the zero of death due to rabies.
He said this in a message on the occasion of ‘World Rabies Day-2022’ on Wednesday (September 28).
Mentioning that the number of deaths due to rabies every year before 2009 was more than two thousand, the Prime Minister said that since 2010, the ‘National Rabies Eradication Program’ by our government and the effective implementation of the 'National Rabies Eradication Program' has reduced the number of deaths to 26 in July 2022.
We are working tirelessly to achieve the success of MDG achievement and the achievement of SDG 3.3 and 2030 swamp free world commitment.
Sheikh Hasina also said that we are providing free rabies vaccines to the district headquarters hospital and upazila health complex.The country is being given free rabies vaccine, treating and providing vaccinations to the victims as well as vaccinations and scrutinizing the country. We have continued our best efforts to free the risk of rabies.
