Prime Minister in New York to attend UN session
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New York to attend the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
A VVIP chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at New York John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport at 10:25 PM on Monday (September 19).
This is the case in Washington, Ambassador of Bangladesh Muhammad Imran and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations Muhammad Abdul Muhith have received the reception of the Prime Minister at the airport.
Earlier, after attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the Prime Minister, the local Samat left London at 8 pm on Monday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to London on a pre-scheduled visit on September 15. From there she was scheduled to go to New York on the night of September 18 or the morning of September 19 to attend the session of the United Nations General Assembly. That is, it was supposed to stay in London for 4 days.
However, the Prime Minister's visit to the UK to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II was done for 5 days in the morning.
It is reported that Sheikh Hasina will attend the reception organized by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York on September 20 and the 77th opening of the United Nations General Assembly.
He will also hold a bilateral meeting with Philippo Grandi of UNHCR and President Barut Pahore, and he will also join the platform of women leaders at the United Nations.
