3 people including women were detained in GIT to pay their respects on behalf of A.League at the Jati Memorial

The Dhaka District Police said that the detainees went to lay flowers in the main ailment of the memorial by writing ‘honest respect to all the martyrs on behalf of Bangladesh Aomi League and Sheikh Hasina’ on a small size paper. They also raised slogans for the party.

The members of Dhaka District Police arrested Rakibul Islam Durjoy (32), Mishti Subhash (28) and Tahmina Akhtar (40).

This Samat Tahmina Akhtar said in response to media questions, Aomi League has made this country independent, they have also given the name of the country. Why should that party be banned?

He was detained for questioning in front of the memorial fountain at around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday (March 26). He had three children with him, but the children were not detained, according to his words, two more people were arrested.

The detained Tahmina Akhter is said to be a resident of Comilla and currently lives in Lalbagh area of the capital.

While in police custody, the woman said she was working in a government hospital and is not doing anything at present. She has been doing politics in Awami League since August 5. This morning, three children came to pay their respects at the memorial on behalf of Awami League and Sheikh Hasina.

The three arrested have been taken into custody by the Ashulita police station and will be sent to court on Friday (March 27).

District Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman said that Ashulia Thana has been instructed to take legal action.
