4 cases in Jamaat-police clash, more than 150 accused

Police have filed four cases of clashing with the police and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital's Mouchak area.

Motijheel Division DC Hayatul Islam confirmed this information to the Dhaka Mail, saying that after Friday prayers, the people of the congregation tried to march without permission, but the police stopped them.

The leaders and activists of the party attacked the members of the law enforcement agencies, which injured some members of the police, which were filed against the police and one case of obstructing government work, including one in Rampura police station, one in Khilgaon police station and one case in Shahjahanpur police station.

Khilgaon Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farukul Alam said, "My police station has two cases. The plaintiff in two cases, SI Rezaul Islam, has been mentioned in the case. While the names of 75 accused are mentioned, the rest are unidentified and two have been arrested and the rest are being arrested."
