Man gets life sentence for killing college student in Lakshmipur

They are Sohail Patowari (36), Paran Patowari (31), Parvez Patawri (33), Noor Alam Dudi (61), Nazim Uddin (49), Tanita Akhtar (26), Ferdous Begum (37), Samchur Nahar (56). They were free on bail.
Victim Md. Shaon (18) is the son of Tofatael Ahmed of Radhapur village of Bangakhan Union of Sadar Upazila.
According to the statement of the case and court sources, the victim of murder, Shaon, was living in the house of Abdul Halim Master of Abhirkhil village of No. 13, Otarad of Lakshmipur municipality.
The accused had a dispute with the accused's land and on September 14, 2016, the accused attacked their family members including Shaon's cousin Salahuddin, who had a baton and sharp weapons.
When Shaon went to Egi, the accused beat Shaon, and at one point Shahadat Hossain Shakil gave Shaon a sharp weapon and injured Shaon in Kupi. The locals rescued him and went to Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.The incident was filed by Shaon's cousin Salahuddin, who filed a case against 10 people including three women.
The then Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station Mohammad Manal Hossain Khan submitted the investigation report of the case to the court on January 31, 2017. After knowing the acquittal of the accused No. 10, Sahabuddin, after knowing the application for exemption from the complaint, he filed a charge sheet against the remaining accused.
The court acquitted one person to life and eight others based on long hearings and evidence.
Meanwhile, the plaintiff in the case, Salahuddin and the father of the deceased Shaon, Tofatael Ahmed, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the case.
