Explosion from gas accumulated in house in Shyampur, burnt 3

3 people have been burnt in the explosion of a gas in the capital's Shyampur, which has been admitted to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.

The explosion happened around 3 am on Monday, and then they came to the hospital around 5 am.

The burnt people are - Md. Jamal Uddin (50), Md. Jamil Hossain (25) and Mohammad Tushar (35).

Jamil's father Iqbal said the three of them were talking in a room on the top floor of the seven-story building. When Jamal turned on a lighter to smoke a cigarette, the room suddenly exploded and caught fire. Later they were rescued and brought to the barn.

The condition of the three is critical, Dr. Tariqul Islam, resident doctor of Burn Institute, said that Jamal's body was burnt 75 percent, Jamil's 55 percent and Tushar's 100 percent burns.
