The case of clashes between BNP and the police and the police clashed with the leaders and workers of Madan Upazila of Netrakona district. The case filed under the Special Powers Act.
Judge Md. Manjurul Islam of Netrakona Judicial Magistrate Court-1 gave this order.
Among the 73 accused who were sent to jail, there are leaders and workers of Upazila BNP President Changao Unitn Parishad, Chairman N Alam, General Secretary former Upazila Chairman Rafiqul Islam and upazila and union level BNP and its affiliated organizations.
It is to be noted that as part of the central program of BNP's central program to protest the rise in the price of commodities including fuel oil and the continued load-shedding of electricity, on August 29, during the protest march and protest rally at the local Eidgah ground of Madan Upazila, there was a clash between the BNP leaders and activists during the protest march and the protest rally.
SI Debashish Sarkar of Madan police station filed a case on August 30 mentioning the names of 29 people of BNP under the Special Powers Act, on the other hand, Awami League leader Islam Uddin filed another case under the Special Powers Act on September 2.
Later, after the BNP leaders and activists were out on bail for 6 weeks on the order of the High Court, they appeared in the lower court on Monday and again applied for bail, but the court judge did not grant their bail application and ordered the accused to be sent to jail.
