Own Correspondent: This year's Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations are starting from Wednesday. According to the Lakshmipur District Commissioner's Office, 32,106 candidates will participate in Lakshmipur district this year. A total of 23,600 candidates will participate in JSC in Lakshmipur and 8,506 candidates in JDC. The examination will be held at 23 school centers and 15 madrasa centers across the district. Out of these, 9,720 candidates will participate in JSC in 11 centers in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila, 4,588 in 5 centers in Ramganj, 3,822 in 3 centers in Raipur, 3,487 in 2 centers in Ramgati and 2,663 in 2 centers in Kamalnagar.

For the first time, in order to conduct exams in a cheating-free environment, the Comilla Board has stopped the room invigilator teachers from performing their duties at their own examinee's centers. It is hoped that this will stop any kind of cheating on the part of the teachers and the examinees. On the other hand, although teachers changed centers in school exams, there has been no news of madrasa teachers changing centers.
