Former Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastgir Gazi's house was conducted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) at around 2 am on Sunday, Gazi's house in Siddheshwari in the capital.
In this regard, DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallick told Samakal on Sunday night that there is no room for confusion about the operation, DB is working professionally. The operation was conducted in the area to recover the weapons and arrest the accused.
The DB chief also said that no goods were brought from Gazi's house in the same way.
Rezaul Karim Mallik also said that Gholam Dastgir Gazi's wife Hasina Gazi has illegal weapons and used to suppress the anti-arms student movement.
Meanwhile, a press release signed by Deputy Commissioner of Mid and Public Relations Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman informed that a team followed the law and rules of the DB as part of the operation of the DB.
Based on specific information, the Ejaharnami has been arrested and a search operation is conducted there as part of the arrest of the accused and illegal weapons recovery, there is no scope for any confusion about the DB's search operation.
