Shakib Al Hasan and his team returned to their familiar form at the start of the third day. The hosts were in danger of being bowled out due to the batsmen's failure. But Bangladesh saw a glimmer of hope with the batsmen of Nurul Hasan Sohan and Taskin Ahmed along with wicketkeeper-batter Liton Das.
In the end, the Tigers were all out for 231 runs in the second innings. Batting at a target of 145 runs, India lost two wickets in the eighth over and were under pressure.
