Rebecca Mohsin is ready to fight for the prevention of dowry, child marriage, oppression of women and children and for the realization of women's fair rights. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given this woman a certificate of success for her skills in politics. She said these things during an exchange of views with journalists at the office of a local daily newspaper in Lakshmipur on Tuesday (December 12) afternoon. At that time, journalists greeted her with flowers. Rebecca Mohsin is the Women's Affairs Secretary of Kamalnagar Upazila Awami League. She is serving as the Vice-President of the Upazila branch of the 14-party alliance's Terrorism, Militancy and Eradication Committee. She was also the President of the Greater Ramgati Upazila Women's Awami League. She is the wife of the late freedom fighter Hazirhat Millat Academy's Headmaster Md. Mohsin. She has been working for women's rights in her political life. To strengthen Sheikh Hasina's hand, she activated grassroots women in Awami League politics. In recognition of her work, Bangladesh Awami League President Sheikh Hasina gave Rebecca Mohsin a certificate of achievement on November 27, 2005. She is expecting nomination for the post of chairman in the upcoming Kamalnagar Upazila Parishad elections. Regarding the elections, she said, "I am preparing for the elections in the interest of the locals. I am working towards that end and to make Awami League victorious in the upcoming parliamentary elections."
