10 killed in Canada School

Police said at least 10 people were killed in a shooting incident in a high school in the northeastern province of British Columbia, Canada.

The police also said that the person who is believed to be the attacker was also found dead and is believed to have a suicide mark on his body.

Larry Newfeld, a legislator in the Peace River South area, told reporters on Tuesday that additional forces including the Rawel Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and ambulance have been sent to the area.

He said he did not want to disclose any further information at the moment, fearing that the security of the ongoing operation could be disrupted.

He urged the local residents to stay in their respective positions. 

Larry Newfeld said, "We understand that many have gone out in search of their predators, but I request you to go back to your respective yards, stay safe and give this beautiful community a chance to make this beautiful community safe again."

According to the website of the provincial government, Tumblr Ridge Secondary School has a total of 175 students from class VII to XII.
