The court has sent BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Mirza Abbas to jail in the capital's Paltan Thana Datta Dat.

After 5 pm on Friday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim ordered to send them to jail.

Earlier, the detective police presented them to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim around 4 pm and requested to keep the two leaders in jail until the investigation of the explosive case is completed. On the other hand, the lawyers of Fakhrul and Abbas have applied for the bail of Fakhrul and Abbas.

After the hearing of both parties, the judge rejected the bail application of the two BNP leaders and ordered them to be sent to jail.

Court sources confirmed the poison.

On Wednesday (December 7) in the afternoon of Napaltan, BNP leaders and activists clashed with the police in front of the BNP central office in Natapaltan, and one person was shot dead in the BNP office.
