Police arrested 90 child and teenage Argentina supporters from Mathabhanga Bridge in the city area around 1:30 am on Sunday (December 18).

Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Mahbubur Rahman informed about the matter.

He said that last night, 90 children and teenagers took out a joyous procession from Alamdanga Koyra Bazaar in an open truck following Argentina's victory.

They had no security at that time. The driver of the truck was also a minor. Fearing an accident, 90 children and teenagers in the truck, including the driver, were detained and brought to the police station. After that, the children and teenagers were given to the custody of their family members by phone that night.

However, the truck has been seized and the driver has been taken into police custody. The police official also said that further legal action will be taken as per the instructions of higher officials, including verification of the truck's documents.
