Math question leak: Coaching director and center secretary sentenced to prison

A mobile court has sentenced two people, including the director of a coaching center in Tangail, to one month's imprisonment for leaking SSC mathematics exam question papers. The incident took place in Ghatail upazila of Tangail on Saturday (February 9).

Ghatail Upazila Executive Officer Dilruba Ahmed said that ten minutes before the start of the SSC mathematics exam, police arrested Shyamal Saha, director of Shyamal Coaching Center, and Abdur Rahman, an office worker of Sagardighi High School, from Ghatail Upazila Sadar with indecent questions. Police identified the involvement of the headmaster and center secretary of the same school, Humayun Khalid, in the question leak. Humayun Khalid is one of the directors of Shyamal Coaching Center. He sent the question papers to the owner of the coaching center, Shyamal Saha, through his school's office worker Abdur Rahman. The police arrested the office worker and Shyamal Saha.

Dilruba Ahmed said that when the central secretary's involvement in the question paper leak was identified, Magistrate M Al Mamun sentenced Shyamal and Humayun Khalid to one month in prison each. Peon Abdur Rahman was released on bond.
