The government is implementing various activities for human resource development, construction and use of environmentally friendly improved toilets, awareness on sanitation and waste management, innovation and application of sustainable technologies to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-6.

He said, "Our government is committed to ensuring safe sanitation and a healthy environment for all. In 13 and a half years, it has implemented 50 projects at a cost of about 14 thousand crore taka to ensure safe water supply, healthy sanitation and waste management in rural and urban areas."

It is important to properly observe 'National Sanitation Month' and 'Global Handwashing Day' to ensure sanitation and water supply for all by 2030.
