Covered van loses control and crashes into hotel, killing 5

Five people were killed in a covered van in Jessore's Manirampur, when the covered van entered the shop and the hotel, and the father and son were among the dead.

The accident took place in Bagaritala area of Jessore-Manirampur in the upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased are Habibur Rahman (45) and his infant son Taoshid Hossain (7) in Baggartala area of Manirampur. The names of the rest are not yet known.

Locals said that when a covered van from Jessore to Satkhira from Jessore reached Baggartala area around 8 am on Friday, the driver lost control and the entire covered van hit at least 10 shops along the road along the road, hotels and tea shops.

In this, five people came to eat breakfast at the tea shop and hotel and five people died.
