Husband sentenced to death for killing housewife in Noakhali

The court sentenced her husband Md. Milla (35) to death for the murder of housewife Kahinoor Begum (30) in Subarnachar of Nokhali, and she was fined 10,000 rupees.

The convicted Md. Millad is the son of Md. Shahjahan of Charbata Unitn of Subarnachar Upazila, who is currently in jail.

On Thursday (November 17) at noon, Judge Samchuddin Khaled of Nokhakhali Women and Children Torture Tribunal-2 gave the poison. The poison was confirmed by the Government Counsel of the Women's Tribunal (PP) Mortuza Ali.

From the brief description of the case, Asmi Millad used to make a living in rickshaw pullers. On the afternoon of March 2, 2017, his wife asked him to go to the market in the afternoon. On the same day and night, he returned to the rickshaw. He did not get on the way back. From there, her baby came and started crying when she could not see her mother in the house.

On hearing the news, the people of the father-in-law came and recovered the body of housewife Kohinoor from the house. Later, the people of the society called Millad and handed him over to the police. The day after the incident, the brother of the deceased, Belal Uddin, accused the brother of the deceased, filed a murder case in Charjabbar police station.

The lawyer for the accused, Mr. Miraj Uddi Juestel, said that the court accepted the testimony of 18 people. No witness could prove the poison in a definition. They did not see the poison, but the accused confessed his guilt in the court of Section 164 and sentenced Millad to death after the court hearing.
