Young man dies after twigs lungi on boat engine

Netrakona's empty engine powered boat engine was wrapped in a lungi. A young man named Hanif Mita died in the morning at Khalijari Rasulpur Ghat in the district.

Md. Hanif Mita (36) is the son of Abdus Sobhan of Pathan village of Taherpur upazila of neighboring Sunamganj district.

Police and locals said that Hanif rented an engine-driven boat from Itna area of Kishoreganj for six months. On the way to Taherpur on the boat loaded with bamboo, he took a break by anchoring the boat on the south side of Rasulpur village in Khalijari.

hollow Jagatjyoti Chowdhury, in-charge of the Lepsia Naval Police Department, said that the Fahtar Service has been informed to recover the body of the deceased and later legal action will be taken in consultation with the senior officials.
