Torrential rain has started in coastal district Bagerhat due to the influence of cyclone Sitrang.

Today Monday (October 24) has been raining light and moderate gusty with rain since morning.

Hafizur Rahman of Bahar Bunita area of Morelganj Upazila said, "If Sitrang is like a Sidor, then we will be in great danger. There is no dam to protect our united river from floods. If the flood is overflowing, there is a fear of damage to many lives and property."
